A$AP Rocky Concert Ends Quickly After Someone Steals His Hat

According to HipHop DX and a fan with video proof, A$AP Rocky ended his show yesterday in Germany rather quickly after someone stole his Supreme hat. The A$AP Mob and Rocky were performing the A$AP Ferg track, “Work (Remix),” when apparently someone snatched the hat off his head while engaging with fans.

At around 0:51, A$AP Rocky cut the music and went on to say, “I came to party with y’all. Who took my shit, man? Give me my hat so I can go. That’s a one-of-a-kind hat. Don’t try and creep to the back. Who got my …

In promotion for their new album entitled, The Wack Album,  The Lonely Island have been releasing new music every Wednesday calling it, you guessed it, “Wack Wednesdays.” The next addition to their catalog is the track, “Go Kindergarten,” which features pop female vocalist, Robyn.

While neither The Lonely Island nor Robyn actually appear in this video, there is a hilarious group of young adults with paper bags over their heads acting out the lyrics for you. In addition, random hashtags appear on the screen during the duration of the video, which include everything from, “#SorryWrongText,” #DeathToMolly,” and “#MollyRingwald”

WATCH: A$AP Rocky and Adidas Team Up In “Quick Ain’t Fair” Campaign

Rick Ross may no longer be an active Reebok representative after his controversial rape lyric incident, but have no fear. Another one of the rap games hottest right now, A$AP Rocky, has teamed up with Adidas in their latest, “Quick Ain’t Fair,” campaign.

The commercial features NBA stars Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers, Jrue Holiday of the Philadelphia 76ers, and John Wall of the Washington Wizards, while A$AP rhymes about their journey over the instrumental of his infamous track, “Goldie.” Rappers partnering up with popular shoe companies is nothing new to the music industry.

Cross-promotion between artists such …

‘The Louise Log’ Web Series Nominated For Shorty Award

If you’re unfamiliar with The Louise Log, it’s a scripted web series created by veteran Sundance director Anne Flournoy, “based on the inner life of a real NYC housewife.” It has amusing episode titles like “How To Cope With Your Inner Cat” and seemingly draws inspiration from comedy series such as Louie and Curb Your Enthusiasm which is what originally piqued our interest. The show has earned recommendations from well-knowns such as actress Suzy Soro, critic Roger Ebert, and playwright Eve Ensler who has said, “The Louise Log is brave, funny, real, deep, clever, poetic and original. But …

Baauer And “Harlem Shake” Materialize At The Top Of Billboard Hot 100 Chart Thanks To Incorporation Of Streaming Data

The stars just keep aligning for young trap producer Baauer.

First his song, “Harlem Shake”, became the sonic framework for a video dance meme, a meme which accelerated in popularity at an unprecedented rate. Then he topped the iTunes Singles chart. Now, to complete his coronation as king beatmaker of the moment, he sits at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“How is this possible?” you may ask. After all, as popular as his song might be, its URL success hasn’t translated into radio airplay just yet. Well, that doesn’t matter any more.

MOVIE STREAM: The Pirate Bay – Away From the Keyboard

Today, director Simon Klose released his new documentary The Pirate Bay – Away from the Keyboard online for free via YouTube and unsurprisingly The Pirate Bay. It’s not just a trailer or clips, it’s the entire film. Best part? The world première of the film is slated for today at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Once I heard about this project a little while ago, I could have bet a lot of money the filmmaker would have done something like this. Then The Pirate Bay put a countdown on their website that marked the online release. I mean, it’s …

WATCH: Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” Is The Beating Heart Of A New YouTube Dance Meme

Does this mean that Baauer is going to be the next PSY?

Trap producer Baauer has quickly ascended to the upper echelon of tastemaker approved beatmakers. It’s difficult to quantify a ranking like that, but here it goes. On one hand Baauer, real name Harry Rodrigues, is doing high-profile residencies at Las Vegas nightclubs and making tracks with legendary hip-hop producer Just Blaze. On the other hand, he doesn’t have any songs in rotation on Top 40 or hip-hop radio. Yet.

In short, he’s making money, but he’s still got the underground shine.

Or he did. Thanks to …

As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis Announces YouTube Channel

As I Lay Dying‘s vocalist took to a new social media medium yesterday: YouTube. Tim Lambesis vaguely describes his new channel’s future content by saying “we have a variety of videos in the works”, but I think it’s safe to say that it’s at the very least going to to include some degree of metal, fitness, and Austrian Death Machine/ALID antics.

Follow the jump for a link to the channel’s introductory video.

ALBUM STREAM: My Bloody Valentine – ‘m b v’

Yeah, in case you hadn’t heard, seminal shoegaze act My Bloody Valentine returned with their first album since 1991′s Loveless last night. There was little warning or fanfare. A couple Facebook posts outlining the release, an updated website, and that was about it.

But My Bloody Valentine took an usually forward thinking step for an act that hasn’t put out an album in over two decades – they put the whole thing up on YouTube.

Check out the Youtube clips for m b v after the jump.
