Yeah Yeah Yeahs Announce New Album, ‘Mosquito’

Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be releasing their fourth full-length album, the follow up to 2009′s It’s Blitz, entitled Mosquito on April 15.

“Well…it’s definitely different from the last album,” Yeah Yeah Yeahs vocalist Karen O told NME. “So I guess you could say that hasn’t changed about us! It’s all over the place. The sound of the record is, I guess, a bit more lo-fi sounding and slightly more influenced by roots reggae. There’s a lot of delay on stuff and there’s a more raw sound to it than there was last time.”

Yeah Yeah Yeahs Debut New Song “Despair” At Hurricane Sandy Benefit

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, it’s been too too long.

It appears that the NYC-based indie rock trio is lumbering their way back into activity. Back in November, LA radio station KCRW broke the news that the group was gearing up for their as yet untitled fourth album, and their first since 2009′s It’s Blitz, for release some time in early 2013, and we’re beginning to hear the fruits of the group’s sonic labor.

David Lynch Releases Details on Debut Album

Eccentric American director of film and television, David Lynch has been working on a debut album for some time now and has recently released specific details including the track list and an exciting guest vocalist. The introductory track “Pinky’s Dream” features vocals from Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ front-woman Karen O. Lynch’s electronic pop solo album Crazy Clown Time will drop on November 8 from Sunday Best Recordings and co-released by PIAS America. The entire album was written, produced, and performed by Lynch with help from engineer Dean Hurley, who plays guitar and drums on several songs throughout Crazy Clown Time. …

Austin City Limits Season Line-Up

For its 35th anniversary, revered PBS live performance program “Austin City Limits” has recruited an impressive, eclectic group of acts including indie rocking P4k faves (Andrew Bird, M. Ward, St. Vincent, Okkervil River), big-time arena acts (Pearl Jam, Them Crooked Vultures, Dave Matthews), unfuckwithable legends (Elvis Costello, Willie Nelson, Allen Toussaint), and the first-ever hip-hop artists to appear on the show (Mos Def, K’Naan).
