First ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Footage Revs Its Way Onto The Net

Just only yesterday did director George Miller (creator/director of the Mad Max trilogy) debut extended footage of Mad Max: Fury Road to a roaring crowd inside Hall H at San Diego Comic Con.

Judging by the footage, it looks as if Mad Max is back in the best way possible. This new entry reportedly takes place after the events of Mad Max (the first film in the original trilogy) and before the second film, The Road Warrior. This time around, Max is aiding Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a mechanical-armed woman who wants to make it back to her homeland. …

Alex Turner and Miles Kane Writing 1960s Film Inspired by ‘X-Men’

If you’ve ever been watching X-Men and thought, “Boy, I would love to hear Alex Turner’s voice singing over this scene,” today is your lucky day.

According to NME, Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner and Miles Kane, aka The Last Shadow Puppets, are writing an X-Men-inspired film that’s set in the 1960s. “It’s gonna have a sort of X-Men kind of vibe and sort of set in the ’60s, but I can’t give any more away than that,” said Kane. Neither of the two will star in the movie, he added, “but we may have a little cameo.”…

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Will Take Place In 1983

After the time-hopping of events found in Days Of Future Past, one might expect the next adventure featuring the X-Men to take place in the modern world. That does not appear to be the case, however, as a new interview with producer Simon Kinberg has revealed a far more retro setting for X-Men: Apocalypse.

On a new episode of The Q&A Podcast, host Jeff Goldsmith has the wonderful opportunity to speak with producer Simon Kinberg about his involvement in the X-Men franchise. A little over one hour into their conversation the topic moves from Days Of Future

New ‘Hercules’ Trailer Has Life, Death, And Queens Of The Stone Age?

The new trailer for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Hercules has hit and seems to be a big improvement on the first. In this preview there is everything from giant wild boars to a three-headed hydra monster but of course, what is a period film without really angry line recitation. The Rock’s glistening muscles and gravely voice make for a sort of laughable utterance of “I AM HERCULES!” but that probably isn’t the most far fetched thing the film will have. Brett Ratner, director of X-Men: The Last Stand, directs this action adventure that releases on July 25 so consider …

MOVIE REVIEW: ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

Film: X-Men: Days Of Future Past
Starring: Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman
Directed by: Bryan Singer

Like a phoenix rising from the surface of the sun, Bryan Singer has returned to the X-Men franchise he helped build and delivered its most entertaining chapter to date.

There was a time not too long ago when it seemed the X-Men franchise had ran off the rails of box office entertainment. It was around the same time The Last Stand hit theaters, which coincidentally was the first film to not have filmmaker Bryan Singer’s involvement. The results were okay at best, but certainly not …

Channing Tatum Is Confirmed As The New Gambit

We already knew that Channing Tatum and producer Lauren Shuler Donner had fallen quite hard for the idea of Tatum playing the dashing, morally ambiguous Gambit in future X-Men films. Now Donner has confirmed, telling Total Film “it’s Channing.”

Donner had a number of reasons for choosing Tatum, citing his roguishness, southern origins, and action-readiness (in other words, that bod).

Though it’s the headline, Tatum’s tapping is only a small part of the ever-expanding X-Men universe (a universe that, unlike others, actually can support such expansion) and the steady stream of news flowing out of it. THR’s Borys Kit …

Final ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Trailer Will Kick Your Ass

As much as we love a good X-Men movie, we will be the first to admit the promotional efforts for Days Of Future Past have left us a little on the fence about the team’s upcoming adventure. That is, until we saw the film’s final trailer.

Clocking in at just under three minutes in length, which is more than enough time to make your eyes water with tears of pure joy, the third trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past focuses almost all its energy on the larger-than-life action sequences that have largely been kept in the shadows up to …

Channing Tatum Has Met With Producers About Playing Gambit In Future ‘X-Men’ Films

This is the kind of story that will either fill you with excitement or send chills down your spine. For us, it’s the former, but for many it’s likely the latter. To those of you picking chills, all I can say is – get over it. Studios need star power to ensure box office draw, and it does not get much bigger right now than Channing Tatum. Cross your fingers he does not bastardize your childhood and hope for the best. It is all you can do.

Channing Tatum revealed during an interview with MTV that he has met with …

New ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Clip Gives Us X-Men In Action

Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards gave us clips of a number of upcoming summer movies, including yet another clip showing off how the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past became the second most expensive film made by 20th Century Fox.

The one-minute clip, taken from the film’s opening sequence, has sentinels discovering a few of our beleaguered heroes, who immediately launch into a delightful power-using frenzy. We see a phasing Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page), an ice-surfing Bobby Drake (Shawn Ashmore), and a portal-popping Blink (Fan Bingbing), along with shots of Bishop (Omar Sy), Colossus (Daniel Cudmore), Sunspot (Adam Canto), …

Watch The New ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Trailer

The second trailer for this summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past is out, and it is bleak. Cities are in ruin. Sentinels are dropping from ships and shooting lasers out of their faces. Old Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) gravely exposit the film’s plot to the soon-to-be-time-traveling Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) as their younger counterparts (James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender) speak just as gravely on teaming up, even as they continue to fire shots at each other.

The two-and-a-half-minute reel largely favors those heavy hitters, with a dash of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) thrown in, but it also …

New ‘Days of Future Past’ Photo Showcases Quicksilver, Xavier On Two Feet

In the coming years we will have not one, but two different versions of Quicksilver in theaters. One for the upcoming mutant time-travel adventure, Days of Future Past, as well as an iteration in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron (though don’t call him a mutant in that one, Fox’s film rights prohibits the use of the word “mutant” in marvel films).

But, with all the news flowing around the speedster, we have yet to see what either incarnation will look like, until today that is. In a new photo, we get a glimpse at the X-Men version of …

Bryan Singer Talks ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

Yep, you read that headline right, Bryan Singer has shed some light (if only a crack) on the X-Men’s next adventure.

In a small, but intriguing interview with Entertainment Weekly, Singer has confirmed that as of now, he has not signed on to direct the film, but that his “desire would be to direct it.” “I’m co-writing the story and I’m producing it,” Singer continued, “I’m negotiating to direct. We’re in the process. We’re trying to figure it out, schedules.”

Singer also mentions that he is still deciding whether or not there would be a nod to Apocalypse in his …
