Method Man Confirms Wu-Tang Clan 20th Anniversary Album Will Drop This Year

Under The Gun Review has been waiting too long to say the phrase, “A new album from Wu-Tang Clan will be released this year.”

Wu-Tang member Method Man announced this exciting news during his birthday show at the Key Club, in Los Angeles, two nights ago. News of a 20th anniversary album was hinted at by Raekwon last November but we have not heard any follow-up until this morning.

Raekwon Announces New EP & Album

Raekwon is ready to start 2013 by announcing plans to release his forthcoming album as well as a new EP.

Kwon’s album is titled Fly International Luxurious Art (F.I.L.A.) and has a set release in the second quarter of this year. His Lost Jewelry EP will hit stores on January 8. There was also an early confirmation of his project Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. III but there has not been any further details regarding the surface date.

Kanye West Streams Clip Of “White Dress”

Kanye West is coming off of the release of his label’s collaboration album, Cruel Summer, and has now released a clip of his new song “White Dress.” The song was recorded for the movie soundtrack, The Man with the Iron Fists, which is being brought together by Wu-Tang’s RZA.

Wu Tang Clan Members Accused of Illegal Sampling

A report has surfaced that names Wu Tung Clan members Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man and RZA as defendants in a suit accusing them of illegal sampling. The accuser is Bridgeport Music and Westbound Records.

The track in question is “New Wu” from ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II, a Raekwon solo album released in 2009. It is accused of a 12-second or four measure cut “I’ve Changed” by the Magictones. These guys go hard on the track and provide much promise for Raekwon’s new mix. The beat hooks you in and the rappers leave you begging for more.

I think this video just made my day a little bit more awesome.

Wu-Tang’s Killer Bee Method Man has released his music video/promo for “World Gone Sour (The Lost Kids),” which features his sweet friends from the Sour Patch Kids. He kicks an entire rap alongside the tiny treats and it’s something you cannot afford to miss.
