Issues To Release Acoustic EP

Issues have confirmed in an interview with MindEqualsBlown that they will be releasing their a new acoustic EP later this year entitled Diamond Dreams.

The EP will consist of acoustic versions of songs they released on their previous EP, Black Diamonds, and will feature a completely rewritten version of “King of Amarillo.”

“We changed it to be about us instead of them [Woe, Is Me]. We used the song as a kind of hype to get the band started and now we just kind of turned it around,” said vocalist Michael Bohn.

Woe, Is Me Release “A Story To Tell” Music Video

Rise Records’ Woe, Is Me have released the highly-anticipated video for “A Story To Tell.”

Taken from the group’s Fall 2012 release, “A Story To Tell” showcases the ever-so-slightly softer side of Woe (aka there are more clean vocals than usual). The video is a high-action piece of video that comes complete with guns, soldiers, and all sorts of performance footage from inside areas bands wouldn’t usually perform. A small twist on a tired idea, perhaps, but it’s enjoyable even if you could care less about the music. You can view the video for “A Story To Tell” below.

Oh, Manhattan Announce Return; New EP Already In The Works

Previously extinct Atlanta metalcore outfit Oh, Manhattan has now returned to the land of the living, and it looks as if the band has some plans in store for the group’s old (and new) fans.

For those who didn’t know, the group was previously fronted temporarily by Woe, Is Me‘s Hance Alligood in his early days. The band essentially fell apart once Alligood moved onto WIM, but now they’re together once more and ready to take on the world.

The band has quite a few things planned for the near future, including a set at this year’s South By …

The song would’ve surfaced on Friday, but Carter decided to postpone in honor of the tragic events that had happened earlier that day.

Be sure to follow the jump to find a stream of the song.

REVIEW: Issues – Black Diamonds

Artist: Issues
Album: Black Diamonds
Genre: Metalcore
Label: Rise/Velocity Records

Issues have a very, very short history so far. Tyler Carter and other ex-Woe, Is Me members formed Issues this past summer, was signed by Rise/Velocity Records shortly thereafter, and already started scheduling tour dates before they put out a single song. Given the caliber of the members in the band it’s not surprising that they were picked up so quickly by a label they’ve had history with already.

The EP starts off with heavy electronic beats and bass. While it’s certainly not the worst intro I have ever …
