Filter Sign With Wind-Up Records

90’s rock outfit Filter have announced that they signed onto Wind-Up Records. Congratulations to the entire band on signing.

They are currently preparing a new album in Los Angeles at Blue Room studio’s, with producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Shinedown). Recording with Filter in-studio are drummers Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle) and Elias Mallin (Kill Hannah), along with bassist Phil Buckman. Filter’s lead single from the unnamed effort will impact radio in March and album following a release this May.

Evanescence Announce Australian Tour With Blaqk Audio

It has been announced that Evanescence will be heading out on an Australian tour run, with none other than Blaqk Audio, in late March. Under The Gun has all of the details right here for your viewing pleasure.

Evanescence are currently supporting their new self-titled release via Wind-Up Records. We have not heard a bunch of news from the Blaqk Audio camp so UTG hopes that this is a sign of great things to come. Stay tuned right here for further details on both groups.


Evanescence Unveil Track-Listing

Evanescence have announced the official track-listing for their upcoming self-titled album, that has a release date of October 11 via Wind-Up Records. There are 17 songs on the deluxe edition that can be picked up iTunes past the link.

Cartel part ways with Wind-Up Records

At a recent show, Georgia’s Cartel announced that the band had left Wind-Up Records. They will be releasing their new EP independently on October 4. This will be the first new material released by Cartel since the 2009 album Cycles. This is not the first time Cartel have made a change like this – in 2008, the band split with Epic Records to join Wind-Up.

Hawthorn Heights split with label & start their own

Hawthorne Heights have left Wind-Up records and announced the launch of their own label, Cardboard Empire. The group’s first release under the label will be a new self-produced EP entitled Hate (August 23).

Anyone familiar with Hawthorne Heights knows this isn’t the first time the band has found themselves cutting ties from the record industry. They previously put out multiple records with Victory Records before leaving over money and creative issues.

Bayside’s LastFM acoustic performance

Bayside took some time out of their busy schedule to stop by the LastFM studios. Anthony Raneri discussed the lead single, off of Killing Time, called “Sick, Sick, Sick” and performed an acoustic rendition with guitarist Jack O’Shea. The band is preparing to head out on the road, on April 22nd, for the Take Action Tour with support from The Swellers, Polar Bear Club, and Texas In July. Check them out when they come to your city.
