Asking Alexandria have announced their next headlining tour which has been dubbed the ‘Don’t Pray For Us’ tour. They will be supported by bands like Whitechapel, Motionless In White, Chimaira and I Killed The Prom Queen. The official tour dates are expected to be announced by the band on March 1, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those dates once they’re released.

Whitechapel Drop Off European Tour; Replaced By Veil Of Maya

Whitechapel had to pull out of their upcoming European tour with August Burns Red and The Devil Wears Prada due to a family emergency. TDWP have reassured the fan base that friends in Veil Of Maya will be filling the void in an official Facebook message.

Knoxville, Tennessee metal outfit Whitechapel have unleashed their fierce new video for “I, Dementia” and it is going to ruin all of your senses (in a good way). This video was shot with director David Brodsky (All That Remains, The Devin Townsend Project).

After 6 years of being a band, Whitechapel marks their fourth full length effort with a new release titled (you guessed it) Whitechapel. This self-titled album features 10 new songs by the band, while also featuring a new drummer by the name of Ben Harclerode. The album makes for a great progression from what the band has released in the past through the use of some natural time changes and scene-setting lighter instrumentals. Here’s what I thought about it:

Death chuggers Whitechapel have released a new track from their upcoming fourth studio release and it sounds like… well, it sounds like Whitechapel.

“I, Dementia” will be featured on the band’s self-titled effort which is due to drop on June 19 via Metal Blade. The track is undoubtedly heavy but doesn’t necessarily bring anything new to the table for Whitechapel fans.

Regarding the new song, guitarist Ben Savage had the following to say:

“I feel we all found our niche with ‘I, Dementia’. The slower pace allows for listeners to sink in and appreciate how all the elements flow together. …

Today is a gigantic day for Whitechapel and their fans. The band has revealed that their self-titled fourth album is ready for a June 19 release via Metal Blade Records.
