We Came As Romans Release “I Knew You Were Trouble” Cover

Read to celebrate the biggest hits of last year? If so, you’re in luck! We Came As Romans have released their contribution to the upcoming Punk Goes Punk Vol. 6 compilation.

Taylor Swift found major radio success with “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and now it’s time for We Came As Romans to see what they can make happen with the popular breakup anthem. Their take on the track blends the pop sensibilities of the original with the group’s signature post-hardcore sound. The biggest surprise is the presence of clean vocals from both Kyle Pavone and Dave Stephens, which is …

DVD REVIEW: We Came As Romans – ‘Present, Future, and Past’

Film: Present, Future, and Past
Starring: We Came As Romans

The rise of We Came As Romans from unknown Michigan post-hardcore outfit to international headliners is the very definition of a cinderella story. The group that signed with Equal Vision back in 2009 have grown from boys to men over the last half decade, and in that time recorded three critically-acclaimed albums, each more complex than the one before. Through it all, the members have remained true to themselves and their roots, allowing their experiences and struggles guide the material that creates their future releases. It’s not an …

Dream Riders: The Tour Desires of Your Favorite Artists (UTG Exclusive)

Wikipedia defines a rider as: a set of requests or demands that a performer sets as criteria for performance.

Whether an act’s tour rider is ridiculously egocentric and/or overly materialistic, just plain outlandish in a fun way, a rock ‘n’ roll legend, or far more modest and unshowy than you might expect, nearly every touring artist has at least something that they request from the venues in which they’ll be performing at. It could be something as simple and understandable as a stack of towels, or in the case of some more haughty, self-indulgent artists, a rider might outline …

Feels like it’s been awhile since I last posted a new photo set, but damn do I have some great things to share. A couple weeks ago I stopped over at one of my home venues called Royal Oak Music Theatre to check out the Break Down The Walls Tour, which featured a good amount of amazing talent.

The tour kicked off with Born Of Osiris, or as some fans refer to them, BOO. The Chicago-based …

I got the opportunity to shoot at a brand new venue that I never had photographed at, and let me just tell you, it was awesome! I’ve shot in arenas before, so I was used to the atmosphere and how everything worked. The fabulous companies of AEG and The Crofoot decided to put together one giant event consisting of seven major bands and bringing them into this giant 4,500+ venue. The event itself ended up selling out, which …
