Not too long ago the tour routing for Vans Warped Tour was announced, and now the first five bands have been revealed. If none of the bands listed below were bands you wanted to see, then have no fear! There is plenty of time left for more bands to be announced, so be sure to check in again soon.

Long Island natives Travis Johnides and Alexa Sakal are not only brother and sister, but band partners too. Within less than a year of the duo releasing their first EP, entitled Bedroom Recordings, Vol. 1, they’d already received critical acclaim in all forms of media. Their download numbers far exceeded any typical debut.
Although We’re All Just Passing Through have humble beginnings as a duo (it actually started as a solo project); Travis has been touring the country for years.
You may remember a band that was fairly prominent in the scene back in the early 2000s called The …

Chiodos have spent this summer touring, and Warped tour was the first full tour the band embarked on since Craig Owens re-joined the group. Last weekend was the UK Warped Tour, which Chiodos took part of. While they were in the UK, the German music blog known as Pitcam caught up with Craig Owens to ask him a few questions about touring, being back with the band and some new details on the upcoming album.
Owens talks about whether or not the band will ever perform any songs from Illuminaudio, how he got involved with donating to the women’s …

Female-fronted Australian rock act Tonight Alive have been making tremendous waves with the release of their sophomore record, The Other Side. Far from a sophomore slump, The Other Side, is a dark and emotional record, full of musical and lyrical twists and turns. The band are fresh off off last summer’s Vans Warped Tour and are headlining their own American club tour with support from Echosmith, The Downtown Fiction and For The Foxes.
UTG had the chance to catch up with Jake and Whakaio while out on ‘The Other Side’ tour to talk about everything from the stellar …
The weekend is so close you can almost taste it. Drop whatever you’re doing and spend the next few minutes headbanging your cares away.
We love Upon A Burning Body. Their unique brand of metalcore offers crushing track after crushing track, and this morning they partnered with MetalHammer to debut the official video for one of their biggest songs to date. Filmed during their stint on the Vans Warped Tour over the summer, “Texas Blood Money” is a celebration of the state the band calls home. The video features wild performance footage and (perhaps even crazier) behind-the-scenes moments. You …

Earlier this summer, we caught up with Josh Bradford of Silverstein at the Vans Warped Tour.
We discussed the overwhelming response to the new album This Is How The Wind Shifts and Bradford explained how it’s the first album that has received both critical acclaim and immense fan-support in a while.
Below the jump you can see the lyric video for one of the tracks off the new album’s re-release entitled, “I Will Illuminate.”
The digital re-release will be out on October 15 through Hopeless Records and will be appropriately called This Is How The Wind Shifts: Addendum. It …
Matthew Cech hasn’t celebrated his ninth birthday yet, but I am already envious of his optimism and strength. It is very rare that I decide to write a story like this — in fact, it’s the first one I’ve ever done for UTG.
In July, I sat down and interviewed Bert McCracken from The Used at Warped Tour. After that interview, I received a tweet from a man named Terry Cech, who had something to tell me.
Terry explained to me that a bracelet McCracken was wearing during the interview was actually one that he and his son Matthew …
Artist: Tonight Alive
Album: The Other Side
Genre: Pop rock
Record Label: Fearless Records
Tonight Alive have produced an album full of a vibrant mixture of pop-rock and mid-2000s post-hardcore with their latest effort, The Other Side. This cross-influence of genres creates an oddly addicting sound and shows immense improvement from 2011’s What Are You So Scared Of? This collection of songs, released by the female-fronted Australian five-piece are deeper, more diverse and overall catchier than anything we have heard from Tonight Alive yet in their career.
Chicago-based pop-punk band Real Friends recently released a new music video for their song, “Late Nights In My Car.” The video is a compilation of clips from Real Friends’ recent journey on the Vans Warped Tour this past Summer, and while this video isn’t a new concept, you do get to see some of the band’s personality and what their Summer was like through their perspective.
“Late Nights In My Car” is the first track on Real Friends’ latest release, Put Yourself Back Together, which came out this past June.
