STREAM: Emmure – ‘Eternal Enemies’

There’s been a lot of buzz regarding Emmure’s forthcoming LP, Eternal Enemies, which hits shelves tomorrow (April 15) through Victory Records. Given, most of that buzz has been criticism, easy come easy go, right?

Following the release of two music videos (“Nemesis,” “Like LaMotta”), earlier today the group continued to hype their newest effort by streaming it in full a day ahead of its actual release. Check it out after the break.

Incredibly predictable and not the least bit forward-thinking, if you enjoy being sworn at by Frankie Palmeri for over an hour, you …

Even Emmure Look Bored Listening To Their New Song

Whenever a band makes it their business to try and push the boundaries of music and good taste they run the risk of eventually painting themselves into a corner. After more than half a decade of touring and a steady stream of new material every eighteen months or so, it seems Emmure have finally reached this point themselves, and it does not bode well for their upcoming studio album.

Over the weekend, a new song from Emmure titled “Nemesis” found its way online. It’s the first song to surface from the upcoming album Eternal Enemies, and in sticking with …

Comeback Kid Die Knowing

REVIEW: Comeback Kid – ‘Die Knowing’

Artist: Comeback Kid
Album: Die Knowing
Genre: Hardcore
Label: Victory Records

There’s been something of an “it” factor that Comeback Kid have possessed which has kept them in such high regard within the heavy music community for the past 14 years of the band’s existence. As far as hardcore groups with a more polished sound goes, this Winnipeg quintet have set the standard of what hardcore should sound like time and time again. The ripple effect of influence created by CBK’s past work, such as with their 2005 breakout record Wake the Dead, can still clearly be noticed through …

MUSIC VIDEO: Comeback Kid – “Should Know Better”

Last month, Comeback Kid announced that their fifth studio album, Die Knowing, would be released on March 4 through their longtime label, Victory Records. Since then, the group has been promoting their upcoming full-length, their first since 2010′s Symptoms & Cures, vigorously.

The Canadian punks continued their campaign this morning by debuting a music video for their newest single, “Should Know Better,” over at FUSE. Check it out here.

The abrasive track falls just short of two-and-a-half minutes, while the clip itself highlights the outfit’s synonymously rambunctious live performance, which isn’t surprising considering frontman Andrew Neufeld …

Co-Founder Of Emmure Calls Band & Label Out, Threatens Lawsuits

Yesterday, Emmure announced the details for their upcoming full-length album, Eternal Enemies. The group has come under fire in the past for releasing offensive merchandise, and now they are receiving criticism for one of the song titles on the new album. This time though, the band has offended their ex-founding member, Ben Lionetti. It seems that he could no longer keep to himself about the direction the band is heading, and released a statement calling out the band and threatening legal action against them and Victory. It’s not apparent right away why he would seek litigation, however, he does …

UTG LIST: 5 Atreyu Songs You Need To Know In Case They Reunite

The internet has been flooded with rumors of reunion this afternoon following a vague Facebook update from the members of Atreyu. The band, which has been on a break since 2011, posted a photo of the lineup reunited that has lead many to believe a return to the stage is in the group’s future. We cannot confirm or deny those allegations right now, but we can say our hearts would be over the moon if the rumors were true.

Atreyu released five albums during their thirteen-year run together, and many of their songs still find their way into our …
