Report: T.I. Is Angling For A $75 Million Contract

Bear in mind this is a dispatch from TMZ. So, grain of salt and all that, but still.

What we do know for sure: T.I.’s 10 year deal with Atlantic ran its course about a month ago. Since then, T.I. has been shopping around for a new label, as is his wont. T.I. is also demanding a lot of buck for his hip-hop bang, outlining a multi-album deal with a $75 million price tag.

What will T.I.’s new label be getting out of him for that paper? From TMZ:

- 3 albums
- 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise,

Ghostface Killah sues Universal Music Group

While already trying to defend himself from a lawsuit brought on by Hollywood composer Jack Urbont regarding copyright infringement, Ghostface Killah is filing a lawsuit of his own. The target of this lawsuit is Universal Music Group and Ghostface Killah’s aim is to be able to collect full royalties for his work as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. He claims that UMG only owns 25% of the copyright to the Wu-Tang Clan’s songs, not the 50% that they claim.
