Warped Tour Not Returning To The UK This Year

Unfortunately for music fans across the Atlantic, this year’s Vans Warped Tour will not be held in the UK. Even though their Facebook page has not been updated since May, according to theirs and Kevin Lyman’s Twitter accounts they could not get a good lineup together in time. You can read the tweets for yourself by taking a look below the break.

Warped Tour is arguably the biggest annual festival around that features popular and up and coming artists in the pop-punk, metalcore, electronic and post hardcore genres. While this news must be very disappointing to fans in that area, …

Jimmy Page Responds to Led Zeppelin Glastonbury Rumors

Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis said earlier this year that he was “sure” Led Zeppelin would play his festival one day. Now, guitarist Jimmy Page has responded to his comments and addressed the chances of the band headlining in the coming years when talking with BBC Radio 6 Music host Shaun Keaveny.

“I haven’t heard about anything since the 2007 O2 gig, but you never know do you,” said Page. “You never know what’s going to happen tomorrow, do you?” The band has carved a spot in music history as one of the most important rock bands not just for …

Manchester Orchestra Extend Tour to UK With Kevin Devine and Bad Books

Time is winding down on Manchester Orchestra‘s US tour in support of their near-perfect new album, Cope. That doesn’t mean they’re going to stop playing, though. The band will be heading overseas to play a series of shows in the UK in the fall with Kevin Devine & the Goddamn Band and Bad Books opening.

Manchester Orchestra are always great on record, but they’re truly “top notch” in a live setting. Don’t miss your chance if you’re over in the UK to see them on this tour. With such ace openers, too, how could you? Besides, you may …

UTG TV: Little Barrie Speak On ‘Shadow’

Last Thursday UTG TV headed into New York City to meet up with our friends in Little Barrie at Santos Party House. Fortunately, we were able to catch them just before they headed to Europe for a UK tour followed by dates in Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

For those who are not familiar with the band, the British trio consists of guitarist/vocalist Barrie Cadogan (Primal Scream), drummer Virgil Howe and bassist Lewis Wharton.

On May 27, the band will be releasing their newest album, entitled Shadow. The fusion of sounds on the album work hard to …

Duke Dumont

LIVE REVIEW: Duke Dumont (4/24/14)

If you’re into electronic music and haven’t heard of British producer Duke Dumont, it’s time to get yourself together. He may not be blasting on top-40 radio stations or have Rihanna on all of his tracks, but he’s making serious moves within the genre. In the UK, he’s had two #1 singles. This year, his track “Need U (100%)” was nominated for the “Best Dance Recording” Grammy, going up against the likes of Zedd, Kaskade, Calvin Harris, and Armin Van Buuren. You may have even seen him perform at Coachella. After all, he has been described as a revitalizing …

MUSIC VIDEO: Cher Lloyd – “Sirens”

Earlier today, UK pop star Cher Lloyd shared her brand new music video with the world for her track called “Sirens.” If you know Cher Lloyd well, you will know that a majority of her music was the super poppy, let me just get up and dance-type music, with a little added attitude. When “Sirens” was released, it gave a whole new perspective on her as an artist and how she can not only write poppy tracks, but she can also put out something that’s filled with emotion, and that’s exactly the vibe that was let out in this video. …

UTG INTERVIEW: letlive. Talk Success, Sustainability With ‘The Blackest Beautiful’

It’s an oddly sensational euphoria, being able to deem something so chaotic, raw and exhilarating as a truly cleansing experience. But, it is the only way to describe a letlive. performance. It can be argued that no other act on the planet contains the crafted balance of poise and passion that you see within the members of this Los Angeles modern punk outfit. It’s not a spiritual sort of cleansing, no. It’s far more transparent and directly impactful. And that is what appears to be the formula behind letlive. — transparency mixed with an unanointed sense of humbleness for …
