Tyler, The Creator Announces US Tour Dates

Odd Future founder Tyler, The Creator has been relatively quiet on the music front since the release of his 2013 solo album. The one-time Goblin told press shortly after the record’s release that he was tired of rap and that he wanted to be known for doing other things as well because he knew he was capable of more. We respected that stance, but part of us always hoped Tyler would come around and want to rap again.

Today, those of us hoping for a return got a taste of what it must feel like when dreams come true after …

UTG PHOTOS: Governors Ball Music Festival

Under The Gun sent photographer, Nick Karp, to Randall’s Island in New York City to photograph the Governors Ball Music Festival.

Much has changed since I attended the first Governors Ball Music Festival, including (thankfully) a new location, more days added to the festival, and there no longer being the gimmick of “No Overlapping Set times.” The market to hold a quality festival in New York City has been in the search since the rise of other domestic festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo, and Governors Ball is the answer. 40,000+ people attended the festival in order to watch notable acts …

WATCH: Tyler, the Creator – “I Just Bought a Bugatti (I’m Happy)”

Whether he is trolling literally everyone, getting thrown in jail for ensuing a riot or pissing off some minority, Tyler, the Creator is always getting attention. And it is very obvious that the rapper and his crew, Odd Future, love it.

With the new season of Odd Future’s television show, Loiter Squad, taking off recently, Tyler and the gang have come out with a video for the song that was written for the sketch show, “I Just Bought a Bugatti (I’m Happy).” The song also features a verse from IceJJFish. It’s is definitely his attempt to make fun of …

Tyler the Creator Nick Cave Katy Perry Covers

Tyler the Creator, Nick Cave, Danny Elfman, and Katy Perry Working on Random Covers Record

Cover songs are a great chance to see who inspires a musician. Other times it’s a confusing crossing of genres. And sometimes, very rarely, it’s just weird.

Now, thanks to lowbrow pop artist Mark Ryden, the world gets to hear  Tyler the Creator, Nick Cave, Katy Perry, and “Weird Al” Yankovic cover “Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built for Two)” for a new compilation album. Haven’t heard the song before? That’s because it’s 122 years old.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Ryden’s album, called The Gay Nineties Old Tyme Music: Daisy Bell, will have the above artists cover the …

Tyler, The Creator Arrested For Starting A Riot At SXSW

Tyler, The Creator is known to stir up some trouble wherever he goes. Some find him entertaining, others find him obnoxious. Whatever your feelings may be for him, there’s no doubt that he can grab headlines. It appears that the Odd Future rapper got himself into a little bit of trouble this week at SXSW.

He was performing when the venue reached its maximum occupancy, so naturally, he encouraged his fans to storm the gate. He was arrested shortly after for a Riot-Class A Misdemeanor charge with a bond set at $25,000. You can view some clips of the incident …

Odd Future Denied Entry To New Zealand Due To “Potential Threat To Public Order”

Back in 2011 when Tyler, The Creator made his TV debut on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, it seemed like the music world was terrified of Odd Future. Think pieces and reviews popped up everywhere, labeling Tyler’s video for “Yonkers” as disturbing or hailing it as genius. Fast forward three years and several albums later, and people still seem to be unapologetically terrified of Tyler and company’s well-documented antics. The hip-hop collective has been denied access to New Zealand and have cancelled their appearance at Rapture Festival this weekend. Immigration New Zealand commented on the situation to 3

Watch Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt Perform “Garbage” From GTA V

It’s the first day back from the weekend, and like every Monday the highlights of the days past are slowly beginning to make the rounds online.

You may not have known it, but between Friday and now the 2013 Video Game Awards took place. Amidst the festivities, which were broadcast, the Odd Future offshoot known as EarlWolf (Tyler, The Creator and Ear Sweatshirt) graced the stage to perform their Grand Theft Auto V contribution, “Garbage.” It was the first – and probably only – performance of the song to happen since the game hit shelves earlier this year. You can …

Oli Sykes And Ronnie Radke Exchange Blows Via Twitter

Before we know it, there will be #TeamSykes and #TeamRadke hashtags clogging up Twitter. I bet they are there already.

A few days ago Tyler, The Creator went off at the frontman of Bring Me The Horizon, Oli Sykes, for “stealing” his t-shirt design. He managed to call him a “Tumblr fag” and a “pussy” in a single sentence. Oli responded, though not directly to Tyler, by saying Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everyone I’ve ever known & everything I have ever seen. You’d think that would be the end of things, but …

Tyler, the Creator Disses YouTube Music Awards… Which He’s Performing At

Odd Future frontman Tyler, the Creator has taken to Twitter to yell a surprisingly thoughtful diss (in its overall meaning) about the first ever YouTube Music Awards. While it may seem hypocritical seeing he is set to perform at the awards, his gripe is actually directed at himself in a sense, since he’s angry artists–not directors–are the ones getting credit for the videos. Read his full tweet below:

“YOUTUBE AWARDS COULDVE FUCKING HAD NOMINATIONS ON COOL CREATIVE VIDEOS SHIT BUT NOOOO AGAIN ITS THE MOST TEENY BOPPER POP SHIT. YOU ARE BUTT… WHY NOT GIVE AWARDS TO JUST DIRECTORS, THESE

Watch Tyler, the Creator’s Music Video for “Tamale”

Odd Future frontman Tyler, the Creator has shared a music video for his fan-favorite track “Tamale” off this year’s Wolf.  The “visual interpretation of Tyler’s mind” means lots of bright colors, golfing, and Tyler’s floating face as he raps the pretty calm part throughout. Keep your eyes peeled for Pharrell in there, too. Watch the video after the jump.

Keeping up with his past videos for Wolf, Tyler, the Creator also includes a video for part of another song at the end of this one, this time working in “Answer” while he sits on a worn couch and raps …
