REVIEW: Issues – Black Diamonds

Artist: Issues
Album: Black Diamonds
Genre: Metalcore
Label: Rise/Velocity Records

Issues have a very, very short history so far. Tyler Carter and other ex-Woe, Is Me members formed Issues this past summer, was signed by Rise/Velocity Records shortly thereafter, and already started scheduling tour dates before they put out a single song. Given the caliber of the members in the band it’s not surprising that they were picked up so quickly by a label they’ve had history with already.

The EP starts off with heavy electronic beats and bass. While it’s certainly not the worst intro I have ever …

Issues Comment On Fan Reaction To “King Of Amarillo”

Issues, the latest project from former Woe, Is Me frontman Tyler Carter, released their long-awaited debut single at midnight last night. The song, titled “King Of Amarillo,” showcased a much heavier side of Carter’s personality that fans may not have expected given the artist’s most recent solo efforts, and left some longtime followers crying foul. This may seem like the regular division of fans that occurs after any group releases new material, but the members of Issues actually caught us by surprise this morning when they decided to reply to haters and nay-sayers. Taking to Twitter, …

STREAM: Issues (Tyler Carter) – “King Of Amarillo”

Former Woe, Is Me frontman Tyler Carter spent the better part of the last year chasing a pop career that the following post is going to make seem irrelevant, but it needs to be said that “Side By Side” was one hell of a track. Anyways, Carter has abandoned that dream (at least temporarily) and chosen to return to the world of heavy scenecore that first gave him the opportunity to shine. His new project, Issues, has released a stream of their debut single, “King Of Amarillo.” You can stream the single after the jump.
