RUMOR: Harrison Ford Confirmed for Star Wars: Episode VII

Well now that we have a director confirmed, it’s time for an onslaught of casting rumors. Latino Review (who all things considered is a relatively trustworthy source) has announced that director J.J. Abrams has confirmed Harrison Ford to reprise his role as Han Solo in the next installment in the Stars Wars series.

Now, I know most Star Wars fans are hyperventilating, and I just caught my breath too. But until I hear it directly from Disney themselves, I’m going to take every rumor with a huge grain of salt. However this casting rumor isn’t totally unreasonable. Harrison Ford has …

The Weeknd Releases NSFW Visuals For “Twenty Eight”

Crooning sensation The Weeknd continues to dazzle us, with his new NSFW visuals for “Twenty Eight.”

We know that R&B/rappers nowadays have a tendency to create raunchy strip club videos but “Twenty Eight” is tastefully done. You will definitely need a couple plays through to experience everything it has to offer. This material comes off of Abel Tesfaye’s Warner Bros debut, Trilogy, which hit shelves and everywhere back in November. The release is a combination of his first three efforts, House Of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence.

UTG PLAYLIST: ¡Cinco! (Best of the Green Day Album Trilogy)

Green Day had a huge undertaking with their recently released trilogy of albums, ¡UNO!¡DOS!, and ¡TRE! (click on each album for our individual review). Not only did they have to produce a quality record at their age (because let’s be honest, bands like this do generally get worse with age), they had to produce three of them. Green Day wanted to take a more relaxed approach to writing this record, and didn’t want to create huge concepts like their last two albums, but instead they just increased the scope by giving themselves the task of keeping the …

RUMOR: Darth Vader Returns From Dead, Fans Die of Sadness

I absolutely hate that Star Wars got announced for new movies purely because there’s loads and loads of rumors flying around that probably have little to no substantiating evidence. Alas, UTG is a group of Star Wars nerds, and we are going to cover a lot of those rumors. But we promise to at least be a little snarky in the process.

Today’s rumor from UK tabloid (the only reason I’m running something from a tabloid is because respected /Film ran it too) is that Darth Vader will return from the grave in the new Star Wars trilogy. Yes, you …

MUSIC VIDEO: The Weeknd Ft Drake – “The Zone”

Ensuring awareness of his upcoming major label debut is at high as humanly possible, The Weeknd steps out from the shadows to release the video for his Drake collaboration, “The Zone.” The song originally appeared on the Canadian crooner’s Thursday mixtape, but will be reissued this coming Tuesday on Trilogy.

Directed by Abel Tesfaye himself, the latest video from The Weeknd play heavy on the visuals from the cover of Thursday while still leaving plenty of room for performance shots. Drake makes an appearance as well, but it’s more his silhouette than anything else. You can view the video …

STREAM: The Weeknd – “Twenty Eight”

Fans of Canadian crooner The Weeknd will be treated to no less than three brand new tracks when Trilogy, the young singer’s first release on a major label, hits stores this month. Of those three tracks, “Twenty Eight” is the first to surface online and it is nothing short of a soulful beast. The track doesn’t stray too far from the beaten path of The Weeknd’s initial mixtapes, but then again why would anyone fix something that has yet to be broken? You can enjoy “Twenty Eight” after the jump.

Trilogy arrives in stores later this month. Will you …

STREAM: The Weeknd – “Enemy”

Canadian crooner Abel Tesfaye makes panties wet. They soak and get heavy, then they drop. It only takes his voice to accomplish the feat but in his new track, Tesfaye explains how he aims to make bodies shake without a word.

“Enemy” will not be featured on The Weeknd’s Universal Republic debut, Trilogy, so this is just a treat from Tesfaye to get you in the mood. It works for us. Does it work for you? Listen to “Enemy” after the jump and let us know if you’re still shaking.

MUSIC VIDEO: The Weeknd – “Rolling Stone”

Canadian talent The Weeknd is prepping the release of his forthcoming label debut, and this morning he continues to roll out the promotion plan with a brand new music video. Appearing first on the Thursday mixtape, “Rolling Stone” is a bare bones croonfest about love and, well, being a rolling stone. The visuals are pretty bare bones, but it does serve as the first promotional effort from The Weeknd to actually feature the singer’s face. You can view the video for “Rolling Stone” after the jump.

The Weeknd’s first three mixtapes are being compiled, picked through, repackaged, and re-released this …
