REVIEW: Transit – ‘Joyride’

Artist: Transit
Album: Joyride
Genre: Indie, Pop-Punk, Alternative
Label: Rise Records

Transit has been through a roller coaster ride as a band in the past couple years. After releasing the widely loved Listen & Forgive, their world changed quickly with how they went from stage-diving pop-punk in Keep This To Yourself to the indie rock vibe that they had adapted for the latter record. Then Young New England was released and total outrage came at the band’s expense in that they were scrutinized for the album that was produced. Now, the band has put out a new record in …

Transit Share “Too Little, Too Late”

If you’ve kept up with anything over the past few days, you’ve known about the ’12 Days of Transit’ which has them sharing the remainder of their new record, Joyride, up until the release date. And if you’re like us, you’re loving every single day of it.

Well, continuing with the chain, today Transit posted the track “Too Little, Too Late.” It’s a sure pop anthem that is arguably the best we’ve heard so far. It’s catchy, serious and necessary in all the right places. The infectiousness of this band is overwhelming and this track spills that all over …

Transit Release “Fine By Me” From ‘Joyride’

We must have heard the majority of Transit‘s latest album by now, right? For the seventh day in a row, the Massachusetts four-piece is streaming a new song exclusively at AltPress. You can hear “Fine By Me” below.

Much like the other songs we’ve heard from the album so far, Transit seems to be taking on an alt-pop sound with their new record, Joyride. Some of the Third Eye Blind influences from Young New England are taken more in stride on “Fine By Me,” and the results are fantastic. I’m loving the new direction, and I’m excited …

This song is an interesting one; this is the closest thing to Young New England that we’ve heard from Joyride so far. However, the production on the new songs has been a major step up from that record, and “Nothing Left To Lose” follows suit. If Young

Transit Stream “Saturday, Sunday”

Following with the ’12 Days Of Transit’ feature over at Alternative Press, day two brings a stream of “Saturday, Sunday,” the second track off of Transit’s newest album, Joyride, out October 21 through Rise Records.

With day one consisting of album opener “The Only One,” the newer tracks released thus far appear to be sitting better with fans than the band’s previous release, Young New England.

Feautring bright guitars, soaring vocals, and a revitalized sense of energy, “Saturday, Sunday” feels like the groove Transit attempted to reach with Young New England, but wasn’t quite ready to …

Transit have premiered a video for the first single from their upcoming album, Joyride, over at Alternative Press.

“Rest To Get Better” comes highly anticipated after the band’s most recent release, Young New England, did not fair well with fans and critics. The track attempts to reignite the flame found on the much loved Listen & Forgive, for it is coupled with energetic guitars, a vibrant chorus, and captures many elements adored on past releases.

The video features images from dreams that singer Joe Boynton has experienced while fighting to sleep. Speaking with Alternative Press, Boynton says that …
