MUSIC VIDEO: Transit – “So Long, So Long (Futures & Sutures Sessions)”

Over the course of four full-lengths and numerous EPs and splits, Transit have proven themselves adept at everything from pop punk and emo to straightforward rock and roll. For their latest release, titled Futures & Sutures, the Boston-based outfit reworked tracks from their previous two albums, Listen And Forgive and Young New England as acoustic versions. One of those songs, the catchy “So Long, So Long,” received the music video treatment today, and you can check out the clip after the break or over at Alternative Press.

Man Overboard Announce Headlining Tour With Transit, Forever Came Calling, Knuckle Puck

You can count on Man Overboard to never rest on their laurels. Mere weeks after their stint on All Time Low’s A Love Like Tour, the New Jersey band will embark on a month-long headlining tour that includes major cities across the US and Canada.

Joining Man Overboard on the tour will be Boston natives Transit, California’s Forever Came Calling, and midwest up-and-comers Knuckle Puck. If you’re unfamiliar with any of the bands on the lineup, you can download a free tour sampler featuring a few choice cuts from each group right here.

STREAM: Transit – “So Long, So Long”

The Boston-based five-piece Transit are currently streaming their track “So Long, So Long,” off their new compilation EP, Futures And Sutures, which dropped today through Rise Records. You can check it out for yourself by following the jump.

“We wanted to do “So Long, So Long” as well because it was one of our favorites off the record (Young New England). We wanted to go for it again and see what we could do with it,” guitarist Tim Landers recently told Alternative Press in regards to the tune.

The Acoustic Basement Tour Set To Begin In Early 2014

Earlier today, our friends at PropertyOf Zack announced that they will be sponsoring the 2014 Acoustic Basement Tour, which is set to begin in late January. You can check out the full details for the tour after the jump.

Featuring intimate acoustic performances by Transit, Hit the Lights, Front Porch Step, Brian Marquis, and a variety of special regional guests, this trek, set to run throughout February, will definetely be one you’ll want to catch.

A limited amount of VIP packages will go on sale on Black Friday, while general admission tickets will be launched in early-December.

Polar Bear Club Release Music Video For “Blood Balloon”

Hot off the release of their fantastic new album Death Chorus this week via Rise Records, Polar Bear Club have released a new music video for “Blood Balloon.” The video was filmed on the band’s recently concluded tour with Taking Back Sunday and Transit.

The song, first released as a promotional single for the record in September, shows that the band can still make catchy and powerful tunes despite the fan controversy over vocalist Jimmy Stadt’s recent change in vocal technique. Transit Stream New Single From Upcoming EP

Transit recently announced that they would be releasing a brand new acoustic EP, titled Futures And Sutures, on December 2. The EP will feature five acoustic versions of original tracks, and one brand new one. The group has now revealed the very first single from the EP, titled “Long Lost Friends.” You can check out the song by taking a look below the jump.

Transit Release Shirt To Support Boston Bombing Victims

Stoneham, Massachusetts’ Transit has released a brand new shirt intended to help provide relief for the victims of last week’s bombings in Boston.

“Being away from home during a time like last week was one of the hardest things we’ve had to endure as a band. It was endlessly frustrating to not be able to reach out a helping hand to friends, families, loved ones, and our city. We have never been so proud to be where we’re from. We hope this helps,” the band posted to Facebook.
