Transit have premiered a video for the first single from their upcoming album, Joyride, over at Alternative Press.

“Rest To Get Better” comes highly anticipated after the band’s most recent release, Young New England, did not fair well with fans and critics. The track attempts to reignite the flame found on the much loved Listen & Forgive, for it is coupled with energetic guitars, a vibrant chorus, and captures many elements adored on past releases.

Guitarist Tim Landers Parts Ways With Transit

In a series of tweets posted earlier today guitarist Tim Landers announced his departure from Transit. Though he did not go into details as to the reason why he’s leaving, he did indicate he will be pursuing other endeavors.

He also urges fans to continue their support for Transit during the release of their new record and upcoming tours. You can read all of what he had to say by taking a look below the jump.

Transit Release Info and Album Artwork for ‘Joyride’

Coupled in with their announcement of joining Seaway and Such Gold on Four Year Strong’s upcoming ‘Go Down in History’ fall tour, Transit have shared more info on their highly anticipated fourth album, Joyride, which is set to release on October 14 via Rise Records.

Pre-order packages for the album have gone live on Transit’s webstore and include some fun stuff like crew necks, a limited-edition LP with an alternate cover, and a bonus acoustic 7″ which features a new song called “Don’t Bury Me Away,” along with acoustic versions of two tracks from the album.

Transit Announce ‘Joyride,’ Reveal October Tour With Such Gold And Driver Friendly

Boston rock outfit Transit have announced plans to release their newest full-length, Joyride, on October 21 through Rise Records. No single was released alongside the announcement, but the band did reveal plans for a short headlining tour, as well as a new song snippet.

Starting with the tour, Transit will be headlining a two-week run with support from New York punk rockers Such Gold and Texas heartthrobs Driver Friendly. Over the course of four full-lengths and numerous EPs and splits, Transit have proven themselves adept at everything from pop punk and emo to straightforward rock and roll. For their latest release, titled Futures & Sutures, the Boston-based outfit reworked tracks from their previous two albums, Listen And Forgive and Young New England as acoustic versions. Man Overboard Announce Headlining Tour With Transit, Forever Came Calling, Knuckle Puck

You can count on Man Overboard to never rest on their laurels. Mere weeks after their stint on All Time Low’s A Love Like Tour, the New Jersey band will embark on a month-long headlining tour that includes major cities across the US and Canada.

The Boston-based five-piece Transit are currently streaming their track “So Long, So Long,” off their new compilation EP, Futures And Sutures, which dropped today through Rise Records. You can check it out for yourself by following the jump.

The Acoustic Basement Tour Set To Begin In Early 2014

Earlier today, our friends at PropertyOf Zack announced that they will be sponsoring the 2014 Acoustic Basement Tour, which is set to begin in late January. You can check out the full details for the tour after the jump.

Featuring intimate acoustic performances by Transit, Hit the Lights, Front Porch Step, Brian Marquis, and a variety of special regional guests, this trek, set to run throughout February, will definetely be one you’ll want to catch.

Hot off the release of their fantastic new album Death Chorus this week via Rise Records, Polar Bear Club have released a new music video for “Blood Balloon.” The video was filmed on the band’s recently concluded tour with Taking Back Sunday and Transit.

Transit recently announced that they would be releasing a brand new acoustic EP, titled Futures And Sutures, on December 2. The EP will feature five acoustic versions of original tracks, and one brand new one.
