The Glasgow, UK outfit known as Franz Ferdinand have been a little quiet lately, aside from some tours here and there. Today that changed though as the band has proudly announced the title of their upcoming fourth studio album, as well as its release date. The band will be releasing Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions on August 26 via Domino Records. Defeater Announce New Album ‘Letters Home,’ July 16 Release Date

Boston hardcore group Defeater announced today that their newest full length, Letters Home, will be released on Bridge Nine Records July 16.

For those who don’t know, Defeater’s albums follow the story of a family in a post-WWII America, and this time around Letters Home will tell the story of the family’s father. The father is a soldier in WWII, so we will get to follow his travels in battle.

Warped Tour ’13 Compilation Artwork, Tracklist, Release Date

The artwork and tracklisting have been released for this year’s Vans Warped Tour 50-track compilation album. The artwork features Bring Me The Horizon‘s frontman, Oli Sykes, and the album itself has the band’s single, “Go To Hell For Heaven’s Sake.” The compilation will also be featuring music from Never Shout Never, Driver Friendly, We Came As Romans and more. STREAM: Beyoncé and Andre 3000 Cover Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black”

A unique cover version of the Amy Winehouse classic, “Back To Black,” featuring Beyoncé and Andre 3000, has appeared online. The rendition is slated to be featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming movie, The Great Gatsby. Mark Ronson, who produced the original Winehouse version, first premiered the song on an episode of EastVillageRadio.

NME reports that Ronson said the collaboration was a “wonderful take on our song,” and that he was “flattered and honoured, I know Amy would be too.” While Ronson was impressed with the two superstars’ reworking, Amy Winehouse’s father wasn’t too pleased. Mitch Winehouse …

Leaked Fall Out Boy Tracklisting for ‘Save Rock And Roll’

This morning, Under The Gun Review has found that several foreign CD distribution websites and lyric resources have posted what appears to be the full tracklisting for Fall Out Boy‘s controversially titled return album, Save Rock And Roll.

The album will feature guest appearances from Hole vocalist Courtney Love, Elton John, and GOOD Music rapper Big Sean.

Now, we’re taking it with a grain of salt until the band reveals it themselves, but from what we know so far, the list we have for you today checks out.

Mindless Self Indulgence have officially announced their plans to self-release their fifth studio album, How I Learned to Stop Giving a Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence, on May 14.

This news isn’t too unexpected, seeing as how MSI had already done a fundraiser for the record through Kickstarter that ran from October to December last year.

Some of rock music’s finest have teamed up with one of hip hop’s best recently for a release that’s guaranteed to be a hit.

The folks over at Rock Transmission were the ones to break the news early last night that Van Halen‘s Eddie Van Halen, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, and Travis Barker of blink-182 will all be appearing on LL Cool J‘s thirteenth full length record, Authentic.
