Limp-Bizkit

Limp Bizkit Have Released What May Very Well Be The Worst Rock Song of 2014

Listen, internet. There is a part of me that will forever love Limp Bizkit, and try as some might there is nothing you or anyone else can do to change that fact. That said, the group that gave us “Nookie” and “Break Stuff” are testing the faith of their supporters today with the release of a new and horrible song titled “Endless Slaughter.”

Opening with what sounds like beasts roaring in the distance, “Endless Slaughter” takes about fifteen seconds to completely disappoint any longtime fan of Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit. The verses play like elongated riff sessions, with …

Here we are in 2014, and not only are the band back together, but they’ve announced a new full-length, …And Star Power, out October 14 via Jagjaguwar. The album has a whopping 24 tracks and sees contributions from “a gaggle of guest stars.” According to the press release, it was recorded on a tape machine at the infamous Chateau Marmont and is filled with “psych-ward folk, cartoon fantasia, soft-rock indulgences, D&D doom rock, and paranoid bathroom rompers.” Take that as you will.

Meatbodies

Listen to Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin Member’s New Band Meatbodies

Back when Ty Segall was touring in his new band FUZZ and Mikal Cronin made a critically-acclaimed solo debut, Chad Ubovich was playing guitar and bass behind both psych rock gods. Between tours, Ubovich spent his time recording his own crunchy fuzz as Chad and the Meatbodies. With a little help from Segall, he’s now gone on to be picked up by label In The Red and will be releasing his self-titled debut as the renamed Meatbodies.

The 12-track debut was recorded with Eric Bauer (Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, White Fence) and saw friends Cory Hanson of Wand and …

Relient K 2013

Relient K Announce ‘Mmhmm’ 10th Anniversary Tour

Relient K have (finally) announced a fall tour to celebrate the ten year anniversary of their mainstream debut record, Mmhmm. The band saw their first true success after signing with Capital Records in 2004 and releasing the singles “Be My Escape” and “Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been” from Mmhmm. Frontman Matt Thiessen and guitarist Matt Hoopes currently remain as the only two original band members who played on the album.

It took nearly a month for the official announcement after a less-than-cryptic tweet was posted by the band in early July. Of course, this generated a good …
