Culprit Announce West Coast Dates

In between the countless waiters looking to be actors and plastic surgery mishaps in LA sits Culprit. They’re a true blue rock band who doesn’t fit into a niche, but does fulfill a need on the west coast. That’s why it’s great to hear they’ll be trekking up and down their home state with Ghost Parade.

Culprit’s last record was 2013’s Totem, which was well received and proved to have a steady footing. They’ve managed to entertain audiences all over the US from LA to the east coast and back again with songs like “Knock On The Sky” and …

Diarrhea Planet have garnered a reputation as a hardworking band amongst people who have gotten over their silly name, and to solidify that well-deserved attention, the band has just announced the aptly titled ‘Dude…Diarrhea Planet Literally, Seriously, Literally Cannot Stop Touring Tour.’ The tour kicks off on Friday in South Carolina and will commence in New Orleans at the end of June.

The band has also confirmed via Facebook comment that they will be announcing West Coast dates later in August with some “friends” to support them.

Crosses (†††) Announce Spring Tour Dates

Crosses (†††) have announced a handful of new tour dates for May. The band is currently wrapping up their previously announced tour dates, and will be taking their live show to the East Coast after a few weeks off.

The band, featuring Deftones’ Chino Moreno, released their self-titled record on Sumerian Records back in February to widespread acclaim. We love it here at UTG, and I personally believe that it flew under the radar for a lot of potential fans. In case you haven’t already seen it, their video for “†he Epilogue” can be viewed after the jump.

Is Crosses …

Lawrence Arms Announce Midwest Tour Dates With The Copyrights, Sam Russo

2014 has already proven to be a good year for Lawrence Arms fans. The Chicago, Illinois-based punk band released Metropole, their first full-length in eight years, in January, and songs like “Seventeener (17th and 37th)” prove that they haven’t lost one bit of their spark. Today, the long-running trio announced plans for a short midwest tour just as summer is kicking into gear. Dates for the eight-show run can be found after the break.

The tour will start on May 29 in Minneapolis, MN and close out on June 7 with what is certain to be a wild hometown …

STREAM: The Menzingers – ‘Rented World’

With the 2012 release of On the Impossible Past, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s The Menzingers set the gold standard for introspective, emotional punk music. With Rented World, they have maintained the blend of vivid imagery and instantly memorable melodies that made their previous work so special while ironing out the minor inconsistencies in their sound. The album will be released next Tuesday, April 22, but you can stream it in full right now over at Spin.

Starting May 29, the band will embark on a full US tour with Lemuria, PUP, and Cayetana. This is sure to be one …

The Dillinger Escape Plan Release New Single “Happiness Is A Smile”

The Dillinger Escape Plan are currently in the middle of a headlining tour with support coming from Trash Talk, Tera Melos and others. At these shows, they’ve been performing a new song called “Happiness Is A Smile” and selling a 7″ vinyl of the single, which is limited to 500 copies and never to be pressed again.

Luckily, for those of us who are unable to attend one of the shows, the band has released a music video for the track that captures the band in all their chaotic live glory. The band has also announced plans to re-release their …

The Mad Decent Block Party Expands With Outkast, Fatboy Slim And More

The Mad Decent Block Party continues to grow. Last year it hit 13 cities around the US and this year they’re bumping that number up to 22.

This touring mad house offers up a different lineup at each spot. So those who are excited to see Outkast’s name on the list – hold on to your emotions. So far they’re only pegged down for the Colorado date. No worries though–they aren’t the only ones to head out for. Chance The Rapper, Fatboy Slim, Run The Jewels, Diplo and Action Bronson are all involved as well.

Things kick off July 26 …

Watch Röyksopp & Robyn’s Trailer For Upcoming Tour

Röyksopp and Robyn are teaming up for a joint tour this summer and have a video trailer out to prove it.

Neither artist has anything too new to promote, but we’re sure fans won’t mind. The Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp hasn’t put out anything since last year’s compilation Late Night Tales: Röyksopp. As for Robyn–who knew someone with one hit from ’95 would have such a huge resurgence over a decade later? The Swedish powerhouse did have 2013’s “U Should Know Better” with Snoop Dogg, but hasn’t had a full record drop since 2010’s Body Talk.

So fans …

Slither This Way: Aerosmith and Slash Announce Summer Tour

With Motley Crue announcing their final tour (with Alice Cooper opening, no less) and Kiss and Def Leppard hitting the road together, this was already looking like a banner summer for classic rock extravaganzas. But business has once again picked up, my friends.

Aerosmith has announced the ‘Let Rock Rule’ tour, which will hit North American arenas and amphitheaters beginning on July 10 in New York, with Slash featuring Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators serving as support on all dates.

Given there are at least 3 days between each show, look for Slash to fill in those off-dates with club …

Jack White Announces 2014 Tour Dates

Jack White has a busy few months coming up as he’s announced tour dates that start in late spring and take him all the way through the summer.

All this touring is of course to support his upcoming album, Lazaretto. That’ll drop on June 10 in the midst of his heavy tour schedule that has him kicking things off in May with one show before that in April on Record Store Day where he’s set to record, press and release the single “Lazaretto” in that 24-hour span.

The meat of White’s schedule starts May 29 in Oklahoma and winds …
