Courtney Love Streams New Song “You Know My Name”

Courtney Love will be releasing two new songs, “You Know My Name” and “Wedding Day” on May 4 through digital retailers. You can stream “You Know My Name” after the jump.

The song is just about what you’d expect from the Hole frontwoman, delivering a 3-minute grunge-rock jam with lyrics that are all too personal to Ms. Love. It’s cocky and awesome, and impressive for an artist who is quickly approaching the fifty-year-old milestone. Say what you will about her personal life, but you can’t deny that Courtney Love is still giving us good tunes, some thirty years after her …

The National 2013

The National Cancel Shows in Russia and Ukraine

The National are no strangers to the political scene. I mean, they did play at a fundraiser for President Obama’s re-election.

But this time, they’re taking a stand against situations over seas, which sadly affects their international fans. They have cancelled three shows in July/August that were scheduled in Kiev, St. Petersburg and Moscow, due to the political unrest between Ukraine and Russia.

The band released an apologetic, yet firm statement in regards to the cancellation earlier today on their Facebook page:…

Culprit Announce West Coast Dates

In between the countless waiters looking to be actors and plastic surgery mishaps in LA sits Culprit. They’re a true blue rock band who doesn’t fit into a niche, but does fulfill a need on the west coast. That’s why it’s great to hear they’ll be trekking up and down their home state with Ghost Parade.

Culprit’s last record was 2013’s Totem, which was well received and proved to have a steady footing. They’ve managed to entertain audiences all over the US from LA to the east coast and back again with songs like “Knock On The Sky” and …
