Back in late January, news came out that spoke of Lucas Starr teaming up with drummer Ryan Sprague and vocalist Brandon Rike for a new side project, now it looks like we’ve just gotten a fresh taste of it with their first song, “Your Own Skin”.

The two of the musicians have a good track record behind them. Starr used to play bass for Oh, Sleeper, a Texas-based Christian metalcore band tootup until he had left the band on the best of terms in 2011, and Rike had been the vocalist of Dead Poetic, a no longer active …

Emery Announces Spring Tour

It’s been too long since Emery‘s gone on tour, and with spring coming around, it just makes sense for the band to head out once more. The Tooth & Nail / Solidstate Records quartet will be heading out for a quick run of the east coast and midwest of the US, and are taking Wolves At The Gate, The Seeking, and Peace Mercutio along for the ride.

STREAM: The Classic Crime – “You and Me Both”

Former Tooth & Nail Records alternative rock band, The Classic Crime, will be releasing their fourth album, Phoenix, on August 14. Phoenix will be the Classic Crime’s first album since 2010′s Vagabonds, subsequently the last album TCC released on Tooth & Nail Records. The Classic Crime decided to release Phoenix independently.

Now the group has dropped a new track off of Phoenix entitled, “You and Me Both”. The rocking tune is classic (I could not help myself) TCC. Give the track a listen after the jump.

Rick Mazzotta, the drummer from mewithoutyou, recently gave an interview in which he confirmed that the band is parting ways with their record label, Tooth and Nail Records. The band is fresh off of a tour with Alkaline Trio, and is beginning the recording process once again. Mazzotta citied control issues as the impetus for splitting from the label.
