Cat Stevens Announces First US Tour Since 1976

Today is a very, very special day. We have some great content on the way, but this story alone should fill you with excitement. It’s rare that a living icon long gone from the touring world decides to return to the international stage, and to be honest this particular artist is one I never thought people living today would have the chance to see.

Cat Stevens has announced plans for his first tour in more than twenty years. The singer – also known as Yusuf Islam – announced yesterday that he will travel to Europe and North America in November …

UTG Contest: Win A Pair Of Tickets To The Boston Premiere Of ‘Rich Hill’

Earlier this week, I had the great fortune of screening a new documentary titled Rich Hill. The film, which played to critical and audience acclaim at a number of festivals near the beginning of the year, follows the lives of three young boys in one of the most poverty-stricken areas of rural Missouri. It’s the kind of story that grabs your heart strings from the opening credits and plucks them ever so tenderly until the credits begin to roll, but you’re so enthralled in the action taking place on screen you welcome the pain and joy all the same. …

Limp Bizkit [Finally] Announce US Tour With Machine Gun Kelly

I don’t know who is handling PR for Limp Bizkit right now, but they deserve to be fired.

Over the weekend, news broke over Twitter that Limp Bizkit would be performing stateside this fall. Several venues posted information about headlining events featuring the “Nookie” rockers, including the House of Blues in Boston. Today, pre-sales for many of those shows went on sale, but as far as we can tell no one from the Limp Bizkit camp has taken the time to inform the public the band is embarking on a multi-week tour starting at the end of September. Even better, …

Beware, the StubHub Security Breach

Your favorite band is coming to town. You’ve fallen behind on UTG news and didn’t catch the tour dates before the show sold out. So you head over to StubHub and nick some great seats, for less if you’re lucky. What’s not to love? The ticket-selling service admitted Tuesday that there is one rather large thing not to love: a security breach.

StubHub is another in a long line of online retailers to be the victims of online fraudsters. This time, criminals didn’t hack the company’s server but instead went straight to the accounts of over 1000 customers through stolen …

Garth Brooks Reveals His World Tour’s First Stop, Confirms Cancellation Of All Five Dublin Shows

The return of Garth Brooks is going to dominate worldwide headlines for the next week or two. Strap in now.

After all five comeback shows in Dublin were cancelled (which we will get to in a moment), Garth Brooks was forced to find a new place to kick off his recently announced world tour. One lucky fan, a man named Andy Roberts from Atlanta, was given the honor of revealing the host city Monday afternoon. He apparently asked Brooks about his world tour during a Q&A at the country icon’s recent Las Vegas residency and Brooks told him he would …

Kiss To Rock Las Vegas For 9-Show Residency In November

The rumors were true. The biggest band turned rock spectacle in the world is coming to the city of sin for a 9-show run that is sure to go down as a highlight of the year.

Kiss announced this morning that they will be performing a 9-show residency in Las Vegas this November.
