MUSIC VIDEO: The xx – “Fiction”

UK experimental / pop sensations The xx have released the calming music video for their song “Fiction” and takes us on a short journey. This video was directed by Young Replicant.

The video shows the band’s Oliver Sim walking (in slow motion) outside in a resort setting and admiring the surroundings. “Fiction” is taken from The xx’s album Coexist, which is out now.

Is it possible for another 2013 film to have more hype for its soundtrack than The Great Gatsby?

No, that is a serious question. Is it at all possible? I feel like I can fully commit my love to this film, but maybe there is another seemingly perfect sonic journey awaiting me in another upcoming motion picture I’ve yet to learn about. The xx have added a number of additional North American tour dates to their tour schedule this coming April. Check below the jump for the additional dates. The xx Announce 2013 US Tour

The xx have announced that they will be heading out on a US tour in early 2013 and released dates on their official website. The cancelled dates in Philly and Baltimore have also been rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy’s effects in those areas. The xx Perform Live Set At KEXP Studio

The xx were filmed back in January at KEXP studio performing their live set and it has just now been released for the public. This is about as great of an experience as you can get up close to the band, besides the obvious concert setting.

The group perform songs from the new album, Coexist, out now through XL Recordings so be sure to head through the jump and get lost in the sounds. The xx dominate this entire set.

The xx Release ‘Coexist’ Full Album Stream

London’s own The xx have partnered up with the good people at NPR to stream their entire album, Coexist, and it is simply amazing.

Coexist has a official release date of September 11 through XL Recordings and can be pre-ordered right here.

South West London’s own The xx have released their chill new song entitled “Sunset” and is currently streaming here on Under The Gun Review.

LIVE VIDEO: The xx – “Friction”

London based indie pop group The xx played a new song live at Primavera Sound 2012 recently, and we have a live video of it here. The song titled “Friction” will be coming off of their new album Coexist, which comes out on September 10, 2012. Sometimes live amateur videos are pretty low quality and aren’t really worthy of sharing, but this video has suprisingly good sound.
