REVIEW: Local Natives – Hummingbird

The Los Angeles based indie rock outfit Local Natives made a big splash in 2010 with their debut long player Gorilla Manor. And for good reason. It has those gorgeous vocal harmonies. Can’t forget to mention the swelling choruses. Oh, and the always insistent rhythm section. But parsing the attributes of that album doesn’t really do justice to how enjoyable an experience it is to listen to. Instead, consider its longevity: released stateside in dreary February, Gorilla Manor had the legs to soundtrack …

The organizers of Lollapalooza have officially unveiled the lineup for this year’s return to Chicago’s Grant Park 8/3-8/5.

Appearing to be pretty much the exact lineup that was circling as a rumor not too long ago, the 2012 lineup for Lollapalooza promises headline appearances from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Black Keys, and Jack White. The complete list of performers is as follows:
