He gives off the essence of truly wanting to engage in conversation of passion and wit, two factors difficult to come by in a scene full of monotonous conversation and mundane responses. The Used Tease New Single “Cry”

This last year was a busy one for Utah-based rockers The Used. Back in July, the four-piece released an EP, promised a new full-length set for early 2014, and shortly thereafter trekked up and down the west coast with the support of William Control and She Said Fire.

Despite recent months of inactivity, earlier this week, the group made good on their promise when they released a teaser across all their social media platforms urging fans to “please stand by,” leaving many to speculate that new material was right around the corner.

UTG LIST: 10-Year Album Anniversaries We Want To See Celebrated In 2014

The majority of our staff was in high school a decade back and as 10-year anniversary tours have seemingly become a staple in the genres we held closest to our hearts at the time (and still), we’ve grown to accept this fact and find it only appropriate that we again look back and pinpoint our favorite albums from a simpler time that we would love to see celebrated in the form of a tour, select shows, or at the very least, get a first-time vinyl treatment or reissue.

2013 was a massive year for bands and fans alike in terms …

The rumor mill continues…

Following a reveal in September from KillTheMusic claiming that Taking Back Sunday and The Used will be joining forces to bring back the traveling festival known as ‘Taste Of Chaos’ in 2014, new information has surfaced that adds a bit more legitimacy to the claim.

Main-StageProductions, a website that informs talent buyers and college clubs hoping to host events about available tours, has updated their listings to include a Taking Back Sunday/The Used “package” that is available for performances March 15-April 27. There is no mention of ‘Taste Of Chaos’, but this is a similar time-frame …

The Used Begin Recording Sixth LP

The Used, a band that doesn’t seem to stop, have begun recording their sixth LP, according to a tweet from producer and longtime collaborator John Feldmann. With the release of their latest EP, The Ocean of the Sky, just reaching three months since dropping, it seems that The Used have wasted no time before churning out more tracks for their fans.

The Used and I have a long and windy past. While not particularly partial to much that they have released post-In Love and Death, The Used were a staple in my adolescent years, in my attempts …
