The Swellers Release Lyric Video For “Call It A Night”

In preparation for Michigan punk rock outfit, The Swellers, hitting the road one last time before going their separate ways, the band has just released a new lyric video for their song “Call It A Night.” The song, with the video you can watch below, is taken from their 2013 release, The Light Under Closed Doors.

The Swellers Send Us Off With First Leg Of The ‘Call It A Night Tour’

We first found out that The Swellers‘ were calling it quits through the most understated of announcements possible:

We had our first band practice twelve years ago today. It’s been an amazing run. Booking some farewell shows soon. Thank you.

That was followed with more detailed explanations, most notably Jono Diener’s article for Noisey, but those were just details. As for those farewell shows, we now have the first batch of those.

Australia’s heavy music festival monolith, Soundwave, has made a mammoth lineup announcement for 2015 with Faith No More, Soundgarden, Slipknot, Incubus, Marilyn Manson and several other renowned acts leading arguably the festival’s strongest billing yet.

It’s a sad, sad day for fans of punk.

After twelve years of hard work and great music, Michigan based punk outfit The Swellers have revealed that they are currently planning what will eventually become their farewell tour. Yes, the end is near and the brightest light in the midwest punk scene will soon be put out for good, but before you get down on everything try to remember the good: There will be one more tour.

The Swellers have been going strong for more than a decade, producing five full-lengths and a slew of EPs in the process. In that time, quite a bit of material has ended up on the cutting room floor, and now you can hear some choice cuts from the Swellers’ vault on B-Sides and Rarities. The Swellers Announce UK Headlining Tour

Flint, Michigan’s resident pop punk heroes The Swellers will be returning to the United Kingdom for two weeks of shows later this spring. The tour kicks off at Cockpit 2 in Leeds on April 28 and runs through May 10, when the quartet will perform at Borderline in London, and you can see the full list of dates after the break. I Am The Avalanche Announce Wolverines Tour

Last week, I Am The Avalanche announced that they will release their third album, Wolverines, on March 18. Now, the Brooklyn, New York band has announced that they will hitting the road in March and April to promote the record.
