Douglas Robinson, the vocalist for The Sleeping, has been keeping busy since the band announced their indefinite-hiatus this January. Robinson stepped in as the vocalist for the Archives after the departure of Marco Lira. However, instead of going on as Archives, the group adopted a new moniker: Night Verses.

The group is characterized by their artful melding of the bombastic crunch and static of the Archive and the melodic gloss of The Sleeping.

The Sleeping Announce “Indefinite Hiatus”

The New Year has not been kind to us in terms of band break-ups. We have caught wind today that Victory Records’ The Sleeping have announced their “Indefinite Hiatus” after being together for ten years. UTG is deeply saddened by this but we take comfort in knowing that the guys are parting on positive grounds.
