MUSIC VIDEO: Of Mice And Men – “The Depths”

Capping off what can only be described as their best year to date, Of Mice and Men are closing 2012 with the release of their official video for “The Depths.”

Originally released back in June, “The Depths” is taken from the Rise Records reissue of The Flood. The track finds the band leaning heavily on their metalcore roots, so much so that a review of the song earlier this year compared OM&M’s efforts to early Slipknot. Of Mice & Men released “The Depths” last week as part of a dual promotional push for the upcoming reissue of The Flood and the group’s run on Van’s Warped Tour. It is the first song to surface since cleans vocalist Shayley Bourget departed and if our traffic last week is any sign of fan reaction, another certified heavy “hit” has arrived.

It’s finally here! Of Mice & Men have released a brand new single titled “The Depths”. You can check out the lyric video for the song after the jump. The track is expected to make an appearance on OM&M’s reissue of their last full length album, The Flood. The reissue is currently set to be released via Rise Records on July 24.

Of Mice & Men Announce UK Tour With Memphis May Fire

Of Mice & Men have announced that they will be heading out on a five-date tour through the United Kingdom, with support from Memphis May Fire and Secrets, in October.

This tour run will start on October 10 in London and ends on October 14 in Leeds. Are you planning on heading out to a date or two on this run? The band are currently touring in support their latest release, The Flood, through Rise Records.

Of Mice & Men Reveal First Round Of UK Dates

The year is quickly coming to a close and the UTG staff is wondering where 2011 went. Aside from that, it’s now prime time for bands to start revealing their tour schedules for the new year.

Of Mice & Men are doing just that by rolling out their first round of 2012 UK touring dates in the spring. No word yet of bands supporting but UTG will provide you all with that as soon as we get word.

Austin Carlile accused of stealing lyrics

Austin Carlile, vocalist for Of Mice & Men, has been accused of stealing lyrics for The Flood from Nick Conway of View From An Airplane. A video explaining the situation can be viewed below:

The description that accompanied the video can be found below. We have reached out to Austin and the rest of OM&M for comment, but have yet to hear back.

In November 2010, Austin Carlile( ex Attack Attack,Of Mice and men) contacted Nick Conway of View From an Airplane. Carlile asked nick to sing on a track and send it to him so he did this. Austin

Bad Meets Evil opens at #1 on Billboard, Of Mice & Men hit career high

Hell: The Sequel, the latest EP from rap duo Bad Meets Evil (Eminem & Royce Da 5’9″), has opened at number one atop this week’s Billboard album chart. The album sold a staggering 166,992 units this week, beating Jackie Evancho’s Dream With Me, which opened at number two with 159,139 units.

Elsewhere on the chart, Black Veil Brides’ Set The World On Fire opened at sixteen with 24,565 units and Of Mice & Men’s The Flood crept in at thirty-one with sales of 13,458.
