The song clocks in at over six minutes, but luckily the death metal group drops in a healthy amount of enough intricate dynamics throughout the songs paired with visuals to follow an interesting story to keep the audience attentive.

REVIEW: The Faceless – Autotheism

Band: The Faceless
Album: Autotheism
Label: Sumerian Records
Genre: Technical/Progressive Death Metal

“It’s not you, it’s me.” That’s how I picture a conversation with The Faceless and their fans going in regards to their new album, Autotheism. Saying that the latest effort from The Faceless expands on their previous formula (if you could say they had one) would be an enormous understatement. Beginning with Akeldama in 2006 and then Planetary Duality in 2008, it’s been pretty clear from the beginning that The Faceless won’t be content resting on their laurels – something that is the most apparent on Autotheism

EXCLUSIVE: A Conversation With Tosin Abasi of T.R.A.M.

Tosin Abasi plays guitar, and plays it really, really well. What has he played guitar in, you ask? Well, his first moderately successful project was a little old band called Reflux. Most people probably know him best for his Animals As Leaders work. Now he’s got another project for us music connoisseurs (and fanboys) to sink our teeth into called T.R.A.M. featuring himself, Javier Reyes (also of Animals As Leaders), Adrian Terrazas (of The Mars Volta), and Eric Moore (of Suicidal Tendencies). The Faceless delay recording process

Sumerian Records’ shredders The Faceless have announced that they will have to delay to recording process of their upcoming album.

Guitarist Michael Keene received 16 stitches in his right hand due to a pretty nasty fall over a table. He was holding a glass in his hand when it broke, due to the fall, and cut his hand open. Intense.

If you need some more proof, past the jump is a picture of Keene with his bandaged hand.
