‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Will Connect With ‘Avengers 3′

Marvel has created an exceptional cinematic universe. Tying in big budget film after big budget film, it should be safe to assume that the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy will serve up plot lines for films to come, though one may be taken aback to learn that Guardians is aiding the plot all the way up to Avengers 3.

Looking at the clues left behind in all the Marvel films up to this point, I surmise that the planned Avengers 3 will most likely be tied to the epic Infinity Gauntlet story-line. In the past films we have seen …

‘Batman Vs. Superman’ Release Moved To May 2016

Holy delays Batman!

In a move that is not that surprising, the upcoming DC epic, Batman vs. Superman, has been pushed back a whopping ten months, from July 2015 to May 2016. With all the news buzzing around about a possible Nightwing, Wonder Woman casting, DC cameos galore, and a massive budget, it comes as no surprise that the film’s production has been extended.

This is a massive undertaking for Warner Bros, and at times, it seems that they are trying way too hard to catch up to The Avengers with only one film under their belt. Although saddening …

Nightwing And Wonder Woman Joining ‘Batman Vs. Superman’?

Not going to lie, I am a little surprised. Reports are coming in that there have been casting calls for the roles of Nightwing, and Wonder Woman, for the upcoming DC film, Batman vs. Superman. There is still no word if that is the official title or not, so we’ll just go with it.

According to Latino Review, Dick Grayson will be involved in the film, though he will no longer be at Batman’s side. In the comic canon, Dick Grayson grows tired of the Robin persona, and decides to leave Gotham and the under arm of Batman. …

James Spader Will Play The Villain In ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’

Marvel Studios has announced that screen legend James Spader has been cast as the villain in the insanely anticipated new film Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Announced exclusively through Marvel’s official website, which is admittedly a bit unusual for the company, news broke early this morning that Spader will in fact be portraying Ultron in the upcoming sequel to The Avengers. The film comes to theaters on May 1, 2015.

For those unaware, Spader earned three Emmy Awards for his role as Alan Shore on Boston Legal and The Practice, and will return to television this fall in …

Robert Downey Jr. Signs On To Appear As Iron Man In Two ‘Avengers’ Sequels

Even though RDJ’s contract with Marvel Studios ended with this year’s impressive Iron Man 3, our favorite sarcastic and wealthy bad boy turned superhero, Tony Stark will again be played by Downey Jr. in both The Avengers 2 and The Avengers 3 as he just inked a two-film deal.

While we now know that Iron Man 4 may not be in the pipeline (for Downey at least) this brings up many questions and theories as to where this Marvel Universe is heading. While Downey will be playing Stark in the following two Avengers films, there’s no word whether or …

Quicksilver Announced For ‘X-Men,’ But What About ‘The Avengers’?

Little by little the cast of X-Men: Days Of Future Past is being revealed thanks to its director Bryan Singer. This week he tweeted the new face of Quicksilver, Evan Peters.

Evan’s already got his parade of fangirls thanks to FX’s American Horror Story, but this role is about to take him to a whole new level. That’s all fine and dandy for Evan’s fanbase, but comic aficionados are wondering if Quicksilver being in the new X-Men, out July of next year, means that the character will be out of the next Avengers in 2015.

Avengers director Joss …

MOVIE TRAILER: ‘Iron Man 3′

Holy Shit. I am a Marvel movie fanboy until the day they turn me to ash or bury me in the ground, but I think I may have found a way to love them even more after witnessing what you’re about to see.

Setting the tone for a post-Avengers universe, Iron Man 3 arrives in theaters next May to show fans where Tony Stark has been since we left him eating alongside his superhero brethren. Apparently, the effects of New York have shaken Tony to the point that he is no longer sleeping well, and it seems clear from …

Joss Whedon To Write And Direct Avengers 2

Excitement abounds from the movie mill this morning, as Disney and Marvel have announced that Joss Whedon will return to write and direct The Avengers 2.

While it’s no great surprise to see the man who helmed the third biggest box office hit of all time (with a haul of just under $1.5 billion worldwide) return, it is nonetheless refreshing to see the studios place faith in a fan favourite. Marvel’s action-packed Avengers went down a treat with cinemagoers and reviewers alike earlier this year, with many crediting Whedon’s sharp writing and direction for turning the project from a …
