Steve Carell Foxcatcher 2014

‘Foxcatcher’ Teaser Trailer: Steve Carrell Could Be Headed For Oscar Glory

Steve Carell is not typically a name that comes up when awards season discussion begins to build, but in 2014 he is an early frontrunner for Oscar glory with his dark turn in the upcoming film Foxcatcher. Starring opposite Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo, Carell depicts millionaire John du Pont, an eccentric man whose desire to coach the next Olympic gold medalist eventually leads to tragedy. As you can already tell, it’s a role unlike anything Carrell has delivered in recent memory.

“Once I was in full makeup and trying to sort of emulate du Pont’s vocal patterns, people …

Florida Georgia Line Anything Goes 2014

Florida Georgia Line Share “Anything Goes” Song Teaser

One of the hottest stories on the site this week has been the surprise live debut of a new song from Florida Georgia Line over the weekend. The group, whose new album is due out in October, have since released a short teaser offering fans a studio quality taste of their next single.

Opening with the lines, “Alabamba on the boombox, baby / Bout to get a little boondocks crazy,” it doesn’t take long to recognize “Anything Goes” as signature Florida Georgia Line material. The duo has always prided themselves on their ability to create relatable music through use of …

Leaked ‘Hateful Eight’ Trailer Teases Quentin Tarantino’s Latest

There was a time at the very beginning of 2014 when it seemed like the world would never see The Hateful Eight brought to life. The first project from filmmaker Quentin Tarantino since Django Unchained suffered from an early script leak near the end of 2013 that frustrated the Pulp Fiction mastermind to such an extreme he was ready to walk away from the movie altogether. Several months later, following a live reading of the leaked script that was well received, Tarantino brought the project back to life and announced plans to film in early 2015.

Fast forward to early …

Foo Fighters Release ‘Sonic Highways’ Trailer

We are nearing the premiere of Sonic Highways, HBO’s new documentary series following Dave Grohl and the members of Foo Fighters as they travel the country visiting historical recording studios. We’ve known about the show since the beginning of summer, but it was not until this afternoon that we got our first true look at the new series.

The first official trailer for Sonic Highways found its way online this afternoon through the various social channels controlled by members of Foo Fighters. The three and a half minute clip features a variety of music icons, as well as beautiful …

Gerard Way Posts ‘Pink Station Zero’ Video Teasing New Music

Former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is responsible for one of the fall’s most anticipated albums, and earlier today we learned additional music from that release will soon be available.

Using Twitter as his launching pad, Gerard Way turned to social media this afternoon to share a new video titled Pink Station Zero. The name is a reference to one of many ‘stations’ that will be found in All Ages, a comic Way is currently developing when not making music. In the clip, what looks to be a futuristic dance party themed television show filmed using technology …

Foo Fighters Tease Eight Seconds Of Their Eighth Studio Album

Today is August 8, which means it’s 8/8, and earlier today the members of Foo Fighters decided to share with fans a short, 8-seconds clip from the band’s upcoming eighth studio album. Eight. Eight. Eight. Eight. Eight. See a theme?

We have no idea when Foo Fighters will grace the world with their new album, but if the clip found below is any indication of what we can expect I think it’s safe to say the band is just as aggressive as ever. The footage released this morning features no music, but does offer Dave Grohl’s signature voice shouting “All …

Yellowcard Tease New Album Slated For Fall Release

It’s been a rollercoaster of a year for Yellowcard. Back in March, the group parted ways with their longtime drummer Longineu Parsons III, and shortly thereafter called upon Nate Young of Anberlin to fill in. Not deterred, the Jacksonville five-piece has since signed to Razor & Tie Records, with hopes of releasing their eleventh studio album this coming fall.

From all indications, everything seems to be going according to plan, as earlier today, the outfit posted a brief teaser video confirming that their newest effort would indeed be making landfall in the months ahead. Check it out by …

TV On The Radio Announce ‘Seeds’

One of the most prominent indie bands of the 2000s is back. In a relatively unexpected move, TV On the Radio has announced Seeds, their first new full-length since 2011, when they released Nine Types of Light. This just became my most anticipated release for the remainder of the year.

The band uploaded a teaser trailer to YouTube, and it’s literally that. The short 26-second video shows a very colorful, funnel-shaped foam creation and features what sounds like the ending of a song. Regardless, it’s exciting.

No date has been announced, but the rumor is that it’s set for …

Slipknot Keep It Creepy (And Sort Of Pointless) With Latest Album Teaser

I’m starting to believe that if you have seen one promotional video for the new Slipknot album you have more or less seen them all. It’s (k)not that I am (k)not excited for the new album, it’s just that I saw The Ring pull the same creepy motion effect a decade ago and as far as I can tell none of the nonsensical horror themed visuals we have seen thus far are attempting to tell any kind of story.

TL;DR: I don’t really ‘get it.’

All that said, a fourth teaser for the new album from Slipknot quietly found its …

Check Out The First Trailer For ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’

The end is near. Before we get there, however, there is one last battle we must fight.

Warner Bros. has released the first official trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The film, which will serve as the conclusion to Peter Jackson’s Hobbit series, will pick up seconds after events at the end of The Desolation of Smaug as the dragon begins to destroy the sleeping village nearby. The footage revealed today shows plenty of war and carnage, as well as a quick glance at what has become a massive ensemble cast. You can view the …
