When punk band Refused first got back together, no one could have expected the reunion would last. Other than the fact that after their demise they made a documentary on the turmoil that made them break up with the appropriate name of Refused Are Fucking Dead, the band’s whole belief was strongly anti-capitalism – so the whole idea of getting back for money didn’t seem to apply the way it does for the rest of reunited groups (At The Drive In, I’m looking at you).

Refused Schedule 2nd NYC Show

Sweedish hardcore act Refused announced a second New York City show at Terminal Five on Sunday April 22. The band added the second date after their first NYC show sold out in under an hour. 2012 marks Refused’s first year of shows since their 1998 breakup. Ticket presale starts on January 31 at 3PM EST, with general public ticketing on sale on February 1 at 12PM EST. Refused Announce More Reunion Dates

As UTG reported this past Monday, Refused are back in action and prepared to wow crowds with their intense brand of hardcore on the Coachella Festival stage. We have just received word that they will be playing shows in Germany, Belgium, Italy and Sweden, on top of the Coachella appearances. Refused are definitely one of our favorite bands and we hope they make more of an attempt to tour around the states in 2012.

The duo of Statik Selektah & Termanology, referred to as 1982, have teamed up with Reks for their new music video “Play Your Role.” This video comes less than a week after Statik and Terminology released the last visuals for “Never A Dull Moment” featuring Action Bronson and Bun B.

The song and video for “Play Your Role” were filmed and recorded in Sweden, at the Mahalo Studio, in less than forty-five minutes. No one can do it quite like these artists.
