I The Breather Unleash “False Profit” Video

Sumerian Records’ I The Breather have released their official music video for “False Prophet.”

Taken from the group’s recently released Truth And Purpose album, “False Profit” is a hard hitting breakdown fest with plenty of circle-pit inducing moments of bludgeoning to ensure your head is shaking for hours to come. The clip is heavy on performance shots, but they’re done well enough to keep you interested throughout. You can view the video for “False Prophet” after the jump.

I The Breather are easily one of the most underrated heavy bands of 2012. If you dig this clip, click here and …

REVIEW: Make Me Famous – It’s Now Or Never

Artist: Make Me Famous
Album: It’s Now Or Never
Genre: Hard Rock
Label: Sumerian

Sumerian Records recently signed Ukrainian natives Make Me Famous, and there has been quite a bit of buzz and hype surrounding the band. I’ll say that I have been following them for quite some time now, I was intrigued by their singles “Once You Killed A Cow, You Gotta Make A Burger” & “I’m A Traitor No One Does Care” (at least that’s how it was originally) and was a fan ever since.

UPON A BURNING BODY1

REVIEW: Upon A Burning Body – Red. White. Green.

Artist: Upon A Burning Body
Album: Red. White. Green.
Genre: Metalcore
Label: Sumerian

The farther we plunge into 2012, the clearer it becomes that the tides of the industry are again undergoing change. The metalcore and post hardcore sound that so heavily dominated the alternative scene over the last half decade has begun to sound dull on the ears of even the most diehard fans, leaving dozens of bands with slipping sales and increased competition for worthwhile tour packages. It had to happen at some point I guess, and just like the resurgence of pop punk over the past few …

UTG Metal Review Roundup (April 2012)

Demon Hunter – True Defiance

Demon Hunter show just why they’ve had such lasting success on their latest album, True Defiance. An incredibly well-balanced mix of metal styles with a familiar accessibility of many “radio metal” acts. Ryan Clark’s signature vocal sound and style paired with a litany of tasteful …

REVIEW: Stick To Your Guns – Diamond

Artist: Stick To Your Guns
Album: Diamond
Genre: Post hardcore
Label: Sumerian

The realm of post hardcore music has spent the past decade slowly spiraling into a pit of clichés and fashion statements. No one is authentic; everyone is inspired by the latest fad in pop culture, and more often than not it seems that bands spend more time creating merchandise than meaningful music. Given the state of the industry, it makes sense that some would cash in while they can, but that in no way justifies such action, and it’s the support of such artists that has lead to …

STREAM: I See Stars ft. Cassadee Pope – Electric Forest

Michigan natives I See Stars have unleashed the stream of their brand new song called “Electric Forest,” which features Hey Monday’s own Cassadee Pope.

The song is a different approach for the synth/hardcore group and we are still trying to wrap our heads around this particular composition. This track is off of the band’s forthcoming effort, Digital Renegade, due out March 13 through Sumerian Records.

Will you be picking up the group’s album when it hits stores? Please let UTG know what you think by commenting past the jump!
