Stream Three More Songs Off ‘Sumerian Ceremonials’

We are now less than a month away from the release of Sumerian Records’ very first compilation album, which has been dubbed Sumerian Ceremonials. As you probably know by now, a handful of the label’s artists each covered a different song off Florence + The Machine‘s Ceremonials. It’s a pretty cool concept, and so far seems to be going over well with fans.

Crosses (†††) have announced a handful of new tour dates for May. The band is currently wrapping up their previously announced tour dates, and will be taking their live show to the East Coast after a few weeks off.

The band, featuring Deftones’ Chino Moreno, released their self-titled record on Sumerian Records back in February to widespread acclaim. We love it here at UTG, and I personally believe that it flew under the radar for a lot of potential fans. Life Through A Window is the forthcoming studio album by the metalcore outfit known as Structures. They recently revealed the details for that album, as well as the lead single from it. LISTEN: Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce, Darkest Hour and More Cover Florence + The Machine For ‘Sumerian Ceremonials’ Compilation

Sumerian Records recently announced the compilation album Sumerian Ceremonials: Florence + The Sphinx, which features 12 acts from the label’s roster covering songs from Florence + The Machine’s Ceremonials album (with one exception). The label previously released the contributions from Periphery, Stick To Your Guns and Come The Dawn, and today brings the release of three additional tracks from the album.

Those tracks include Darkest Hour’s take on “Spectrum,” Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce’s version of “Shake It Out” and Miss Fortune’s “No Light, No Light.” The album will hit stores on May 13, while a number of pre-order

Born Of Osiris Announce European Tour

Chicago’s Born Of Osiris will be taking their midwestern metal overseas this May for a three-week tour of the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. The full list of dates is available after the break.

In addition to Born of Osiris, the tour will feature sets from fellow Sumerian Records rockers After the Burial, French metal act Betraying the Martyrs, and Australia’s Buried In Verona. There’s no doubting the intensity that each of these bands brings to the table, so the shows should be a blast for metal fans across Europe.

Sumerian Records announced that a number of artists currently on their roster will be a part of an upcoming Florence + The Machine compilation. What is that, you ask? Well, each artist has recorded a reimagined version of one track off Florence’s Ceremonials album.
