Foster The People Cover The Strokes’ “Machu Picchu”

Foster The People recently appeared on BBC Radio 1 and performed a cover that will not soon be forgotten.

The performance took place earlier this week in studio with the iconic British company. The song of choice? The Strokes’ “Machu Picchu.” You can stream the cover for yourself, after the jump.

When asked why the chose this song, Foster The People’s Mark Foster offered “The song title sounds like a Pokémon character. It’s a rock song we wanted to flip on its head. It’s definitely our kind of psychedelic take on this song.”

We’ve known for a minute that Atlanta’s B.o.B. would be releasing a new mixtape in the near future, but today we get our first official taste of the record.

Featuring Bun B and Big K.R.I.T., “5 On The Kush” is a good vibe, party-starting track with lines delivered perfectly throughout. A much more relaxed vibe than the last couple B.o.B. tracks to surface, but definitely not a complaint in the slightest. You can stream, download, and access the track after the jump.

STREAM: The Weeknd ft. Drake – The Zone (Ty Cody Dubstep Remix)

The Weeknd delivered Thursday, his second mixtape in a proposed trilogy, this time last week. We knew remixes would soon follow, but I thought we’d at least have to wait a few weeks.

We were wrong. This morning Ty Cody unleashed his dubstep remix of the Drake assisted track, “The Zone.” If you ask us, this version is actually better than the original. While we love The Weeknd’s slow burn style, this better suits the mood we feel when we listen.
