YMAEWK are streaming a brand new track via our good friends at AbsolutePunk. The track, “Better Men,” is off of the band’s latest installment, I Wish More People Gave A Shit. I Wish is the follow-up to the 2012 comeback EP, A Great Big Hole. If this track is any indication as to what we are to expect with the release, then giving a shit really won’t be that hard. Check out YMAEWK on tour this summer with Squid The Whale and The Orphan, The Poet. The record is due out May 7. If you give a …

You, Me, And Everyone We Know Announce Headlining Tour
You, Me, And Everyone We Know consists primarily of songwriter Ben Liebsch. Ben will be doing a solo tour as You, Me, And Everyone We Know, with notable opening acts The Orphan, The Poet and Squid the Whale. Squid the Whale are personal favorites of us here at Under the Gun Review; you may recall them doing an acoustic session with us.
Perhaps Ben will appear during Squid’s set, too; they did a song together that you can see a live performance of here. The tour takes place in May and June, crossing most of the …
ROBBINS CROSSING SESSIONS: Episode 1 – Squid The Whale
When I’m not typing away in my email client of choice, the UTG staff page, or the site itself, I’m probably in class. I’m less than a month out from my Associates degree in Business with a certificate in Music Industry Management. This being the case, I find that my life online bleeds into my school work – and vice versa – quite often.
In one of my classes, a group of fellow Hocking College students and myself took on a project we’ve dubbed The Robbins Crossing Sessions. This is a 5 part web series that is recorded in …
WATCH: Squid The Whale Performs “The German Affair” with Ben Liebsch
Last year, Squid The Whale released their single, “The German Affair”. Featured on said track was none other than Ben Liebsch of You, Me & Everyone We Know. Now, well into the new year, you can finally watch Liebsch performing the song live with the band.
The video was shot on March 23 at the Crocodile Rock in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It seems as though this collaboration should have happened live a long time ago. Watch Squid The Whale and Liebsch performing “The German Affair” below.
REVIEW: Squid The Whale – Four More
Artist: Squid The Whale
Album: Four More EP
Genre: Rock & Soul
Label: Unsigned
Squid The Whale. What can possibly be said about the group that their music hasn’t already? You’d have to be living under a rock not to already know about vocalist Bradley Walden and his skilled gang of eccentric virtuoso rock and rollers. Squid The Whale is energetic, gritty and deep. Their unique blend of self-proclaimed “Rock & Soul” is quickly turning heads and snapping necks, which may be why they were selected as UTG’s #1 artist to watch in 2013.

LIVE VIDEO: Squid the Whale – “Bad Man”
I recently went to see Squid the Whale in Columbus, Ohio where I stood near fans who skipped out on the Twenty One Pilots show, that was right down the road, just to be there. If you have spent any time with fans of southern Ohio music, you’d know this to be a big deal.
The show was absolutely fantastic and out of the 5 times I’ve seen them, this was the best I’ve seen the band play. With a new setlist containing 3 of the 4 songs found on the new Four More EP, I was thrilled to …
