Save Face Announce Split With My Heart, My Anchor

New Jersey punk band Save Face have announced their newest release. The band will be releasing two new tracks on a mixed-genre split with Maryland acoustic act My Heart, My Anchor on May 26 via Mayflower Collective. The split serves as My Heart, My Anchor’s first release under the Mayflower Collective roster of artists.

This is one of the most intriguing Mayflower releases so far. Save Face is unquestionably the heaviest act on the roster, combining progressive metal influences and modern fast-paced pop punk, and My Heart, My Anchor makes beautiful, vocally-led acoustic songs. I’ve been assured that Save Face …

REVIEW: Self Defense Family / Touché Amoré – ‘Self Love’ 7-Inch Split

Artist: Self Defense Family / Touché Amoré
Album: Self Love 7-Inch Split
Genre: Post-Hardcore
Label: Deathwish Inc.

2010 saw post-hardcore acts Touché Amoré and La Dispute team up for a split titled Searching For A Pulse/The Worth of the World, which, to a minor degree, featured a bit of collaboration between the two bands. On the split’s four songs, Touché vocalist Jeremy Bolm and La Dispute vocalist Jordan Dreyer employed dueling vocals and complementing backing tracks to one another’s side. This proved, by most accounts, a “good idea” — it garnered an 86% from Absolutepunk’s Adam Pfleider, a 4.5/5 …

Explosion Of Feels: Squid The Whale To Reunite At Bled Fest

Basically a year and a half has passed since Squid The Whale had any news whatsoever to share with fans. The last time any member engaged the public was to announce the departure of frontman Bradley Walden, who famously left the band in order to join Emarosa. Rumors quickly spread that another voice would fill in the space left by Walden’s exit, but no new vocalist was ever revealed.

Last night, the members of Squid The Whale broke their silence to announce plans for a reunion in just a few short months. For the first time since 2013, the Michigan …
