UTG INTERVIEW: Anthony Raneri Talks ‘CULT’, Being A Father, and Ranking Bayside’s Discography

In December, I had a last-minute opportunity to interview Anthony Raneri, singer and songwriter for Bayside.

As a fan of the band for over nearly a decade, I was glad for the opportunity to pick his brain. After confirming the night before, I scrambled to assemble an interview that 1. would provide insight into aspects of the artist’s life and career unexplored and 2. wouldn’t embarrass me in front of a long-time idol.

I think it turned out very well.

In our 30 minute discussion, we touched on Anthony’s life away from home, his wife, and his new …

Tilian Pearson had a whirlwind of a year in 2013 as he released a fantastic solo album that combined his signature vocals with pure pop goodness, his music was featured on ESPN for a month-long span, and of course, his first effort with Dance Gavin Dance finally hit stores. Keane Frontman Denies Break Up Rumors, Says Band Will Be Taking ‘A Bit Of Time Out’ From Being Together

What we have here is a classic case of publication versus the artist. One thinks a quote meant the end of one of the UK’s most notable pop outfits in recent memory, while the other couldn’t disagree more. Which is right? Let’s find out.
