June 3rd, 2013 Grant Trimboli Salinas, California rock outfit Strawberry Girls are very pleased to announce their signing to Tragic Hero Records today. Congratulations to the entire band on this exciting news!

June 3rd, 2013 Grant Trimboli In the past hour UTG has watched the Tweets come in from Top Dawg Entertainment members ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. They have welcomed XXL 2013 Freshman class leader Action Bronson to the family.

May 24th, 2013 Grant Trimboli Richmond, VA’s Shy, Low have announced their signing to Spartan Records (Over The Ocean) today. Congratulations to the entire band on the fantastic news!
Their forthcoming two song EP, Binary Opposition, clocks in at 25 minutes and will be released digitally and on 12” vinyl on June 25. May 20th, 2013 Grant Trimboli Razor & Tie announced today that they have signed Swedish alternative rockers INVSN (pronounced in-vey-zhuh-n). The band is formed by Dennis Lyxzén (Refused, The International Noise Conspiracy) along with Andre Sandström (DS-13), Sara Almgren (The International Noise Conspiracy), Richard Österman, and Anders Stenberg (Lykke Li, Deportees).
INVSN have released their first song called “Down in the Shadows” and has our brain rattled already. “Down in the Shadows” will be on INVSN’s yet-to-be-titled debut album, which will release this fall. April 29th, 2013 Grant Trimboli The NY Times reported late last night that surviving Beastie Boys members Mike D and Ad-Rock have signed a book deal with Random House subsidiary Spiegel & Grau.
The two plan on releasing a memoir that blends oral history with images from pop culture past. This unnamed offering will feature writings from a handful of journalists and is tentatively set to hit shelves in 2015.
Publisher Julie Graud had this to say about the group’s perspective.
