Lostprophets’ Frontman Releases Statement; Vows To Clear Name of Child Sex Charges

If you haven’t been following the news roll recently, here’s a recap: frontman of the Lostprophets Ian Watkins has been in court fighting charges of conspiring to have sex with a child under the age of 13. Today, Watkins’ case has officially been adjourned and he will have to return to court in May for further investigation and sentencing.

Ian released a statement to his fans, thanking them for their support and how he intends to “fight till the bitter end” in his own defense.

Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins Charged With Child Sex Offences

Another rock star is in trouble with the law this morning. This time, the suspect is Ian Watkins, singer of Welsh rock band Lostprophets.

According to a report by The Guardian, Watkins has been “charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with female under 13 and possession of indecent images.”

Two women were also questioned and charged for similar offenses.

Watkins will appear before Cardiff magistrates (a judge, in court) on Wednesday.

Detective Inspector Peter Doyle, whose name seems to be perfectly matched for his occupation, says “I want to encourage anyone who has any concerns or …

The 1975 Sign To Vagrant Records, Stream New Song

Manchester-based indie rockers The 1975 have signed to Vagrant Records. They have an EP, Sex EP, coming out on November 20, but a full record produced by Mike Crossey, who has worked with the Arctic Monkeys, is expected in early 2013. They had an EP released earlier in 2012, called the Facedown.
