Secrets Announce New Vocalist Aaron Melzer Of Author & Finisher

Secrets have officially announced the new vocalist for the band. His name is Aaron Melzer, and he was previously in the band Author & Finisher. You can watch an official announcement video by taking a look below the jump. The announcement includes a few sound clips to give fans a taste of what’s to come. I am personally very excited to hear the news, this guy’s a solid vocalist.

Vocalist Xander Bourgeois Leaves Secrets; Admits To Attending Rehab

Vocalist Xander Bourgeois has revealed he is no longer fronting Rise Records band Secrets.

Announced via a video blog post at roughly 3pm (EST) on April 20, Xander Bourgeois explains his departure by revealing that he spent the majority of the last six weeks in rehab for his ongoing battles with drug addiction. According to Bourgeois he has gotten clean and relapsed multiple times during his time with the band, and as a result of his latest setback he has decided it is best that he leaves Secrets to take better care of himself. Secrets Recording New Material

Things have been pretty quiet since the San Diego based post hardcore outfit known as Secrets released their debut album with Rise Records. According to their Facebook page they hit the studio March 31 to start recording their sophomore album. There aren’t any details available as of yet about the album itself, according to some tweets from the band they have indicated they hope to have the album ready to go by Warped Tour. Swedish hardcore outfit Adept have released the visuals for their new single “Secrets” and is currently pounding through our speakers.

This music video, created by Brightbear Productions, shows the group in front of a projection screen getting down and dirty with their heavy track.
