Dayton O'Connor In an appearance on late night talk show Chelsea Lately, famed pop singer Sir Elton John revealed that he contributed to recording sessions for Queens of the Stone Age’s upcoming album.
If you consider that a surreal team up, consider what John’s schedule looked like that day. The pianist laid down some keys with Queens of the Stone Age immediately after recording vocals for a duet with Engelbert Humperdinck. This dude. He and Elton go way back. Ask your grandparents.

Between Trent Reznor and Nick Oliveri’s appearances and Dave Grohl‘s drumming on the upcoming Queens of the Stone Age record, we were already psyched for it. October 25th, 2012 James Shotwell Of all the Top40 groups to grace UTG over the last five years, few have received the outpouring of love that our staff and readers have shown the Scissor Sisters. From the days they didn’t feel like dancing, to the nights only horses could find us, this New York based glam act redefined the way we think about pop music and we’re forever grateful that. April 26th, 2012 Grant Trimboli NYC’s own Scissor Sisters have asked Brodinski to remix their single “Only The Horses” and make it his own.
The remix is dark and provides us with a different outlook than the original version, but it still grabs our attention.
Scissor Sister’s upcoming album will be feature collaborations including Azealia Banks, Calvin Harris, Stuart Price, Pharrell Williams, Diplo and Boys Noize. Not only is this song bursting with flavor and a great vibe, but the video is brilliantly made. We definitely see a bunch of club remixes to SS’s song in the months to come. In typical Scissor Sisters fashion, the video for “Shady Love” manages to make a dirty song feel much cleaner than it actual is with amusing visuals and a storyline guaranteed to make you laugh. You can view the official clip after the jump.
