The Gay Blades have released two full-length albums since their inception in the late 2000′s. Their 2008 debut, Ghosts, was consider by many critics as hit-or-miss but NME complimented The Gay Blades for “[sucking]you into their gloriously trashy, cock-rocking world.” The group’s 2010 sophomore album, Savages, was better received.

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE RESULTS: July 6-8

Spider-man tops the weekend box office proving, once again, that it is the summer of superheroes. Oliver Stone’s new movie, Savages was met with mediocre reviews and numbers, landing itself the number four slot this weekend. The Gay Blades are making a special appearance on Under The Gun Review today, with their acoustic rendition of the Savages song “Shadows Like A Ghost.” This song was recorded at SwitchBitch Studios.

There is nothing not to love about this genuine performance so take it for a couple spins and comment with your thoughts. The band also just released a new four-song EP, which can be downloaded by simply heading to the link provided.

The trailer for Oliver Stone’s Savages has finally arrived online in all its drug-peddling glory!

Featuring the ensemble cast of Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch, and Demian Bichir, Savages is an adaptation of Don Winslow’s 2010 best-selling crime novel of the same name. The plot is as follows:
