Kanye West and Vampire Weekend Set To Perform On SNL

Saturday Night Live has always been known for featuring premier musical guests, and next month will be no different.

With a new album on the horizon, Vampire Weekend is scheduled to perform May 11 on SNL hosted by former cast member, Kristen Wiig. If that wasn’t enough, Kanye West will also be returning to the SNL stage on May 18 accompanied by guest host, Ben Affleck. This marks the fifth time West will be taking the SNL stage, and the second time for Vampire Weekend.

As of late, SNL has featured a slew of indie artists ranging from Sleigh Bells …

Justin Timberlake disses Kanye West on Saturday Night Live?

If you caught Saturday Night Live on March 9, you may not have caught one of the lyric changes Justin Timberlake threw in during his performance of “Suit And Tie.” While performing, Justin Timberlake changed the original lyrics in the second verse from “Shit so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit” to “My hits so sick, got rappers acting dramatic.” The lyric change was a sly yet nationally aired diss directed towards Kanye West’s comments made on February 23 in London, where Kanye West told the concert crowd, “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t …

Justin Timberlake’s promotional run for The 20/20 Experience kicked into overdrive last night with a role as host and musical guest for Saturday Night Live. Daft Punk 2013

STREAM: Daft Punk – “No End” (We Plants Are Happy Plants Remix)

I think this remix from We Plants Are Happy Plants is really indicative of how desperate The People are for new Daft Punk.

Let me explain. We Plants Are Happy Plants is the handle of Hungarian producer Peter Bergmann. Bergmann, along with an untold number of internet denizens, came across a number of tracks from a set uploaded to YouTube titled ”Daft Punk – Real Leak “No End 2013″. Purported to be unreleased tracks from the enigmatic Parisian duo, they were, unfortunately, fakes created by the uploader, user ArtInstitute2011. It’s too bad; the songs, solid productions on their …

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” Goes Quadruple Platinum

C’est incroyable.

No matter how you feel about the recorded output of MacklemoreRyan Lewis, or Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, the runaway success of their breakthrough single “Thrift Shop” is undeniable. Don’t believe me? I’ve got about four million pieces of evidence to back up my case.

According to Chart News, a Twitter account that aggregates and regurgitates airplay and sales information from Billboard, Nielsen, and BDD, among other sources, “Thrift Shop” went quadruple platinum this past week.

Justin Bieber 2012

WATCH: Justin Bieber Performs “As Long As You Love Me” and “Nothing Like Us” On SNL

Justin Bieber has had a strong start in 2013. Not only has he released an almost universally praised acoustic album, but last night he became one of only a handful of celebrities in recent memory to make watching Saturday Night Live fun. His open arms approach to accepting and dealing with criticism has allowed him to mature with a twisted sense of humor that should bode well for him in the years to come. That said, this post isn’t about his acting talents, it’s about the music.

In between his various costume changes last night, Bieber also managed to knock …

We originally had not planned to run anything marking today, but as we began talking about our fond memories of either watching …
