Emmure Frontman Shocked By Microphone In Russia; Band Stops Show

Scary stuff happened two nights ago in Moscow, Russia. Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri was shocked by the microphone so hard he fell over during the band’s set. Video proof of the incident can be found through the jump.

Guitarist Mike Mulholland tweeted, “I’m so sorry to all of our Moscow fans who came to see us tonight, the stage was unsafe and electrocuted @FrankiePalmeri. We will make it up.”

He added that “He will be ok but the stage wasn’t wired safely & shocked the shit out of him. A sad day for us but we’ll make it up.”

The newest installment in the Die Hard series, A Good Day To Die Hard, recently released its second trailer  and it’s action packed, explosive, and features that wry smile of John McClane that I have fallen in love with over the years. The movie tells the story of Mr. McClane going to Russia to see his son and in normal Die Hard fashion everything lines up in a way where McClane has to do some serious ass-kicking. Is that bad? Absolutely not.

Russian Politician Leads Charge for Pussy Riot’s Freedom

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has called for punk band Pussy Riot’s freedom, according to the Associated Press.

The trio of ladies are up for appeal on October 1. Although it is very much in President Vladmir Putin’s hands, this could be a sign of the tides changing.

The band was arrested for and found guilty of hooliganism earlier this year for a protest aimed at Putin that took place in a church. The band was nearly unheard of until their support from several famous acts – including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, and Green Day – and …

BULLSH*T: Pussy Riot Found Guilty Of Hooliganism

A Russian judge in Moscow has found three members of feminist punk band Pussy Riot guilty of hooliganism.

The judge said, and I could not make this up, that the three band members committed hooliganism driven by religious hatred and offending religious believers.

The three members were original arrested back in March following a guerrilla performance in Moscow’s main cathedral in February calling for the Virgin Mary to protect Russia against Vladimir Putin, Russia’s president.

The members of Pussy Riot currently face up to seven years in prison, yes SEVEN YEARS, even though no one was harmed, nothing was damaged, …

RUMOR: At The Drive-In Reuniting…In Russia?

The week after Christmas is typically referred to as “deadweek” amongst many news sites, but a new rumor out of Russia involving one of alternative music’s biggest acts in recent memory has the blogosphere alive and well with discussion.
