Murder By Death Had “Everything Of Value” Taken From Their Van On Monday

Bummer news out of Murder By Death’s camp this week.

According to a statement posted on their Facebook, the band was subject to a host of curious maladies during a stay in St. Louis. First, the band was robbed of some gear and personal items.

Well we treated ourself to a rare nice hotel in St Louis today and someone jacked our locks and took everything of value from the tour van at 4pm in broad daylight.

But that wasn’t the only misfortune to befall the band or their team.

I was robbed once in college; I was a music major who had his primary instrument stolen. It was emotionally devastating even after I got my stuff back (yes, sometimes, the police do catch the criminal). Emmure have been touring the world relentlessly in 2012, and they currently find themselves in Germany where they were recent victims of a somewhat large-scale thievery. The shitty news continues to roll out this weekend with one of UTG’s favorites becoming victims of yet another senseless crime.

Animals As Leaders recently returned home from tour to discover thieves had stolen guitarist Javier Reyes’ Chevy Blazer, as well as 10 guitars, amplifiers, PA equipment, and personal items. Fearless Records’ Blessthefall were robbed in Canada this past Saturday and are asking fans everywhere to help them search for their stuff.

Blessthefall opened up about the incident via their official Facebook page. In a message to fans, the band wrote:

So, last night in Montreal our van was broken into and 3 bags were stolen. Matt’s plaid black and white Hurley backpack, Elliott’s plain blac backpack and Dreds black Under Armor backpack. Contents were brand new MacBooks, iPods, a passport and the flipcam. So unfortunately there will be no tour video from this tour. :-(

Someone Robbed The Cab’s Alexander DeLeon

The Cab’s Alexander DeLeon revealed via Twitter this morning that someone stole his backpack last night.

DeLeon tweeted “my backpack was stolen last night. my computer (so all of my songs, pictures, everything), ipad, and a ton else. pretty broken-hearted.” Then followed the announcement moments later with a message to the robber, stating “to whoever did it: i hope you come down with herpes, chlamydia, and syphilis all at the same time. hope you’re happy. life goes on I guess!”

Bad Rabbits Robbed in Philadelphia

According to their Twitter, Boston’s Bad Rabbits were robbed while performing in Philadelphia last night.

From what we gather, a security guard responsible for watching the group’s green room chose instead to watch the show, which presented the perfect opportunity for someone to sneak in.

The good news is, the thieves (apparently) only managed to take Salim’s bag. The bad news is, it contained the majority of his valuable possessions, as well as unreleased Bad Rabbits recordings that the band had planned to release while on the road.

Help Ghost Thrower Find Their Missing Guitar

Ghost Thrower guitarist Ben Anderson has lost his LTD LP guitar and needs our help locating it.

The group discovered the guitar was missing this weekend and posted the following message on Tumblr:

“ben is missing his LTD LP. We believe it was stolen in Charlestown or Cambridge on Friday afternoon. Reward? Maybe. Please be on the lookout, any info is helpful!”
