Roadrunner Signs Heartist, Premieres “Disconnected” Lyric Video

Roadrunner Records may have just won the award for signing the worst band name in 2012. Heartist, who seems to have only been a legitimate band since early 2012, have joined the legendary rock label’s roster with plans to release their debut EP later this Fall. Their sound is a concoction of the progressive heavy sing/scream sound that Warped Tour kids have clung to in recent years mixed with what sounds like a watered down version of Periphery. Kevin Lyman Confirms Mayhem Fest Cruise

Kevin Lyman has confirmed to Metal Insider that the Mayhem Fest Cruise is happening. This fest will take place from December 7 through the 11.

Bands already announced include Lamb of God, Anthrax, Jonathan Davis, Machine Head and Suicide Silence, and various late additions from Metal Blade, Sumerian, Roadrunner and Century Media. UTG will update you with ticket information in the weeks to come.

Dragonforce Announce “The Power Within”

Dragonforce have announced their first album with vocalist Marc Hudson will hit stores April 17 through Roadrunner Records.

Entitled The Power Within, the latest from Dragonforce promises to be a quasi-rebirth for the band.

DragonForce guitarist Herman Li said, “The last two years have been the most fun we ever had making an album. Through writing, jamming and touring together, we have built this incredible energy and it has been fully captured on the new album.”
