To top all of this off, the band have just announced that they are currently getting ready to release their very first full-length record this summer.

Entitled Copacetic, the eleven-track effort is scheduled for a July 31 release date. Pre-orders and a new single will be available this Friday, June 19. In the meantime, go get acquainted with Knuckle Puck if you haven’t already done …

Unless you may been living under a rock, you’ve likely been aware of the dizzying rise of Boston alternative rock band PVRIS and their outstanding debut album released in 2014, White Noise. One of the perks of living next to New York is Webster Hall, where great shows get announced as fast as your instant popcorn is done. UTG INTERVIEW: Royal Psalms’ Nick Warchol Discusses Seizing Musical Opportunities & Their Debut EP

In the field of the arts, it is not uncommon for the phrase “life gets in the way” to apply more and more the further we get down the road. For most it becomes an acceptable and honorable excuse to leave youthful passions behind. For some, however, it becomes a driving force to pursue those passions despite “life” and take opportunities in as they come.

The latter is the case for New York-based indie rock outfit Royal Psalms. Under The Gun got the chance to speak with vocalist Nick Warchol before their first-ever NYC show.

REVIEW: Silverstein – ‘I Am Alive In Everything I Touch’

Artist: Silverstein
Album: I Am Alive In Everything I Touch
Genre: Rock

If any of us outlast Silverstein in the music business then there truly is no God and we are all doomed.

Having survived over a decade in the scene, not to mention the coming and going of numerous musical trends, Silverstein have once again reaffirmed their place atop the hard rock hierarchy with I Am Alive In Everything I Touch. Both heavy and soft, the album offers a diverse showcase of the seasoned band’s proven chops, as well as a smattering of new ideas to keep things …

ALBUM STREAM: The Early November – ‘Imbue’

After months of anticipation, The Early November have begun streaming their fourth full-length record, Imbue. Give it a listen after the break, and share your thoughts with us in the comments section.

“This is my favorite album I’ve ever been a part of,” said frontman Ace Enders. “I think one of the reasons is that we did it at two separate times. So there is a definite difference in the personality of the songs. I love when an album doesn’t sound uniform and I think that’s what makes this one sound and feel so special to me.”

REVIEW: Dance Gavin Dance – ‘Instant Gratification’

Artist: Dance Gavin Dance
Album: Instant Gratification
Genre: Rock, Pop, Experimental

I typically hate reviews and editorials that begin with quotes, but when attempting to begin discussing the latest release from Dance Gavin Dance there was one quote that stuck in my mind like the hook of “Stroke God, Millionaire” will soon stick with all of you: “Art, in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos.”

Stephen Sondheim will probably never be found sitting at the back of your local Dance Gavin Dance concert, but I cannot help thinking the legendary composer and lyricist would, at the …

The video utilizes the same art that we are used to seeing on their album covers. It’s actually one of the most visually pleasing music videos I’ve seen in a long time. It’s very entertaining, and definitely worth taking the time to check out.

Hands Like Houses Share Music Video For “I Am”

Last week Australian post-hardcore outfit Hands Like Houses released a brief teaser for their new single, “I Am.” The group has teamed up with Alternative Press to reveal the new song and video. You can also check it out below.

“I Am” is my new favorite HLH track. It’s full of energy, and is a little heavier than what we are used to from them. I hope the band plans on releasing some more singles like this in the near future.

If you like what you hear, the song is available for purchase through iTunes.
