Of Mice & Men Release Music Video For “Feels Like Forever”

Metalcore kings Of Mice & Men have been on the road non-stop and releasing singles since their latest record, Restoring Force, dropped via Rise Records this past year. Who would’ve known that this record would jettison the band to mainstream success to the point of opening for Linkin Park on their upcoming European tour?

The band has released yet another video, this time for their latest single entitled “Feel Like Forever” which premiered on USA Today. The video shows the band performing inside a beatdown warehouse and singer Austin Carlile being submerged into deep water before coming back …

REVIEW: Transit – ‘Joyride’

Artist: Transit
Album: Joyride
Genre: Indie, Pop-Punk, Alternative
Label: Rise Records

Transit has been through a roller coaster ride as a band in the past couple years. After releasing the widely loved Listen & Forgive, their world changed quickly with how they went from stage-diving pop-punk in Keep This To Yourself to the indie rock vibe that they had adapted for the latter record. Then Young New England was released and total outrage came at the band’s expense in that they were scrutinized for the album that was produced. Now, the band has put out a new record in …

We must have heard the majority of Transit‘s latest album by now, right? For the seventh day in a row, the Massachusetts four-piece is streaming a new song exclusively at AltPress. You can hear “Fine By Me” below.

Much like the other songs we’ve heard from the album so far, Transit seems to be taking on an alt-pop sound with their new record, Joyride. Some of the Third Eye Blind influences from Young New England are taken more in stride on “Fine By Me,” and the results are fantastic. I’m loving the new direction, and I’m excited …

Favorite Weapon

REVIEW: Favorite Weapon – ‘Sixty Saragossa’

Artist: Favorite Weapon
Album: Sixty Saragossa
Genre: Post-hardcore
Label: Rise Records

It’s not unusual for a new band to crop up from the ashes of another group. Generally speaking, when a band breaks up or members depart they usually end up in another band. Musicians sometimes hop from band to band before they finally find their place (if they ever do). In the instance of Favorite Weapon, things worked out just a little bit differently. Frontman Hance Alligood was a part of Woe, Is Me before they broke up. Instead of starting a brand new page for Favorite Weapon …

This song is an interesting one; this is the closest thing to Young New England that we’ve heard from Joyride so far. However, the production on the new songs has been a major step up from that record, and “Nothing Left To Lose” follows suit. If Young

Ace Enders Releases Surprise I Can Make A Mess Album

About a month ago, The Early November‘s frontman, Ace Enders, put up a random YouTube video entitled “Undecided… From Voice Memo Sessions, Unmixed.”

On the video description, Enders wrote: “A few months back, I was mixing a record for another band. While each track was bouncing down (roughly 3-4 minuets each) I wrote 8 songs in that time, playing and singing the first thing that came into my mind. I recorded each as a voice memo in that moment and then built the song around that. So no metronome and very little edits. Just a cracky voice memo that …
