Rise Against Release “I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore” Music Video

The ever-political punk outfit known as Rise Against have once again found their way to our front page with the release of a new music video.

“I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore” is one of the most driving and infectious tracks found on Rise Against’s recently released Black Market LP. The video features a compilation of footage and facts regarding many of the human-caused problems facing humanity today. Murders in Chicago, the disappearance of elephants, the innocent civilians killed during times of war, etc. etc. There is a lot of bad shit going on in the world and Rise …

Rise Against Announce Fall Tour With Touché Amoré

Though Rise Against‘s popularity amongst the mainstream rock crowd has continued to soar over the past decade, their choice in opening acts shows they haven’t forgotten where they came from. The Chicago punk heroes always put together a great package, exposing some of the underground’s finest acts to arena-sized audiences.

You can now add Los Angeles melodic hardcore masters Touché Amoré and Missouri garage punks Radkey to the long list of beneficiaries, as the two acts have been tapped to open for Rise Against on a U.S. tour that will kick off on September 9 in St. Paul, Minnesota.…

LISTEN: Rise Against Release New Single “I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore”

Rise Against have released a lyric video for “I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore,” the first single from their new album The Black Market.

The anthemic track is sure to get plenty of airplay as it fits right in line with “Re-Education (Through Labor)” and “Help Is On The Way,” but I feel like we sort of know what to expect from a Rise Against lead single at this point. Still, the deeper cuts on Appeal to Reason and Endgame provided enough diversity that I’m confident we’ll have plenty to sink our teeth into when The Black Market

Rise Against Post Second Teaser For New Album

A couple weeks ago, Chicago punk rockers Rise Against announced that their next album will be released this year. While the teaser video that accompanied the announcement featured clips from their past work, today’s video is focused on the future. After the break, you can watch some studio footage set to a clip of a brand new song.

The new teaser also confirms a summer release date for the group’s seventh full-length. They have yet to reveal a title, tracklist, or first single, but we’ll be sure to let you know when they do. In the meantime, you can pick …

Rise Against Teasing New Album For 2014

After finding relatively massive mainstream success with their two most recent LPs, Rise Against have quietly and gradually become one of the biggest punk bands of the last fifteen years. While some fans of the older material claim that the band has sold out in favor of a more radio-friendly sound, one look at their recently posted teaser video might prove otherwise.

The video, which you can stream after the jump, takes a glance at each of the band’s releases from 2001′s The Unraveling through 2011′s Endgame before showing the band in the studio recording their new record. Maybe I …

Summerfest 2014

Summerfest Unveils Impressive Lineup

As a Milwaukee native, I’ll be the first to admit that, in recent years, Summerfest has left a lot to be desired. Waves of nefarious activity, coupled with expanding crowds and consistently lackluster lineups have made the annual, 11-day event sort of a running joke amongst my circle of friends—a place for teens to blackout on grain alcohol and garner new profile pics. However, it seems like this will not be the case this coming summer, as earlier today, “The Big Gig” announced an absolutely killer roster, including Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Brand New, Rise Against, …

Dead Ending

Dead Ending (Members of Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, and More) Sign To Bridge Nine Records

Dead Ending are one of the newest names to be added onto Bridge Nine Records’ roster, and if there’s anything that each of the band members’ discographies show, it’s that there is one promising release in the works.

With a line-up including the likes of The Bomb’s Jeff Dean, Articles Of Faith’s Vic Bondi, Rise Against’s Joe Principe, and Alkaline Trio’s Derek Grant, you could consider DE a full-fledged punk rock super group. According to a press release, this Chicago-based act will be putting out their DE III EP this April.

Acquaint yourself to the group by following the jump …

Machine Gun Kelly Releases “Swing Life Away” Video Featuring Kellin Quinn

Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly has released the official music video for his Kellin Quinn assisted single, “Swing Life Away.”

Borrowing a hook and a bit of music from Chicago punk heroes Rise Against to tell his own story of overcoming the odds, Machine Gun Kelly has crafted quite an interesting single with “Swing Life Away.” The original message of love being more important than any other job or task still remains, but the way it’s delivered has been changed to showcase the softer side of MGK. The chorus may be the same, but the verses are filled …

UTG LIST: 10-Year Album Anniversaries We Want To See Celebrated In 2014

The majority of our staff was in high school a decade back and as 10-year anniversary tours have seemingly become a staple in the genres we held closest to our hearts at the time (and still), we’ve grown to accept this fact and find it only appropriate that we again look back and pinpoint our favorite albums from a simpler time that we would love to see celebrated in the form of a tour, select shows, or at the very least, get a first-time vinyl treatment or reissue.

2013 was a massive year for bands and fans alike in terms …
