2012 has been an incredible year for music. From rock, to pop, hip hop, and the world’s obsession with “Gangnam Style,” there have been many great offerings for fans of any genre of music. Hip hop, however, has been especially fortunate thanks to the rise of artists working harder than ever to ensure their mixtapes flow like albums. More than any other realm of music, hip hop is built on artists establishing relationships with the listener through the release of free material, and you could not throw a metaphorical rock through the blogosphere this year without finding a …

By this point it should be no secret that the UTG staff loves hip hop, but today we are taking things to another level. You see, throughout 2012 we have stumbled upon a number of tracks that specialize in rattling your speakers, filling you with energy, and making sure you walk around as if you have chip on your shoulder regardless of whether or not such ego deserved. Some call it fluff rap, others call it disposable, but here at UTG we choose to use the term ignorant, and recently we’ve collected our favorite bass-thumping, hype heavy tracks from the …
Damn, MMG really never knows when to stop. Just two months after the release of his latest studio album, God Forgives I Don’t, Rick Ross has announced that he plans to drop a new mixtape on October 8. That’s right, new Rick Ross is less than a week a away.
Ross announced The Black Bar Mitzvah mixtape late last night, and I had to check with a few sources before I even believed it to be true. Ross already has two full length releases under his belt this year, not to mention the MMG compilation, and now it looks …
Rick Ross has released his official music video for “Ring Ring.”
Directed by DRE Films and SpiffTV, “Ring Ring” is the latest in a seemingly endless series of videos to come from the Teflon Don in 2012. The clip originally premiered on MTV, but you can view it right here on UTG by clicking past the jump.

God Forgives, I Don’t will be available sometime in 2012.
Lil Twist has been touring all over the globe and had time to record a special version of Rick Ross’ Rich Forever gem “Stay Schemin’.”
He goes hard over the beat and spits his best verses over this silky melody. You can find this joint off of Twist’s forthcoming mixtape, Defeat Ain’t An Option, that we cannot wait to get our hands on.
Please click past the jump to listen and download Lil Twist’s “Stay Schemin’” remix and tell Under The Gun what you think by commenting. Also, check out the slick photo by UTG’s own James Shotwell!
Another week, another new video from Maybach Music Group’s Rick Ross.
Taken (yet again) from his Rich Forever mixtape, “I Swear To God” is the latest visual from Rick Ross to feature a fancy car, lazy edits, and performance shots. If you’ve seen the other Rich Forever visuals, this one is much of the same. Check out the official video for “I Swear To God” after the jump.
EATMEWHILEIMHOT! and Rick Ross both seem determined to make as many video as possible this year. I love the passion, but would a bit more creative kill you? I doubt it.

The MMG crew is all over our front page today. The Boss has unleashed his new visuals for the third track off of Rich Forever called “MMG Untouchable” and provides us with Ross in the flesh, literally. He takes his shirt off and shakes the ground like a sumo wrestler, while French Montana and Timbaland stand by his side.
Rozay has a ton of projects dropping in the coming months and Under The Gun will be providing you details and streams as they become available. Watch the music video by clicking through the jump and let us know what you …
Rick Ross has finally unleashed his visuals for the new song “Yella Diamonds” and it is a real winner. Rozay shows us how a little bit of bad acting and a scary home invasion can really spice up a plot.
This song is just one of the many heavy-hitting tracks on his mixtape and we highly suggest you get it now! Check out the music video for “Yella Diamonds” by simply heading through the jump and pick up Rozay’s latest Rich Forever mixtape by clicking right here.
Yo Gotti is continuing the promotion for Live From The Kitchen today with the release of his official video for “Harder.”
Featuring Rick Ross and enough lens flares to make JJ Abrams jealous, “Harder” brings all the energy of the track to a series of performance shots in various locales. You can view the official video for “Harder” after the jump.
The drama going on between Common and YMCMB’s Drake hit a new high (or low) today with the release of Common’s take on “Stay Schemin.”
Adding a verse directly after Drake’s (which disses and challenges Common), Common’s take should be allowed to speak for itself. We’ll just say he goes off, with no lyrical holds barred, and leaves the booth on fire after firing at least a half dozen lines directly at Drake. To add further fire to the situation, Common chooses to address the rapper as a “Hoe Ass Ni%%a” multiple times.
You can stream, download, and otherwise experience …
Less than half an hour after dropping his Rich Forever mixtape, Rick Ross has released a brand new music video.
Considering the release of Rich Forever crashed Live Mixtapes website, most fans have not even had time to hear the record, so maybe the official video for this Drake and French Montana assisted track will help ease the pain. “Stay Schemin” is the type of smooth-meets-boss track you would expect from this crew and highlights the trio through some great nighttime performance shots. Check it out after the jump.
