Explosion Of Feels: Squid The Whale To Reunite At Bled Fest

Basically a year and a half has passed since Squid The Whale had any news whatsoever to share with fans. Last night, the members of Squid The Whale broke their silence to announce plans for a reunion in just a few short months. For the first time since 2013, the Michigan …

UTG INTERVIEW: After Nearly Two Decades, SNOT Still Bring Energy To The Stage

Unmatched and unmarred by any other act in the hardcore music scene, SNOT have reunited and returned to the touring scene in celebration of the band’s groundbreaking record, Get Some.

Although the band’s recording career was cut short due to the untimely and tragic death of frontman James Lynn Strait in 1998, because of their unique and undeniably influential fusion of punk, metal, and hardcore music, the legacy of SNOT is as strong as ever. The band has reunited for a second time since Strait’s death — this time tapping Carl Bensley to fill in on vocals for the …

They will playing a one-off show in New York, at the Irving Plaza on February 7, which is all that is set in stone. Sleater-Kinney Share A Fiery New Single For Us To Fawn Over

Even in the current era where a reunion is more inevitability than pipe dream, a select few illicit enough fervent joy as to capture the collective internet. The resurrection of Sleater-Kinney easily qualifies, with the trio’s importance, each member’s post-Sleater success, and the sense of it being height-of-their-powers demise being key factors.

So we all kind of lost our minds at the news of a new album (No Cities To Love) and tour in 2015. Furthermore, we’ve now been given two new, barnstorming, punk rock songs that wholly justify getting the band back together. The three kept …

On the second night of The Matches’ gigs at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre, we sat down with Shawn Harris (vocals/guitar) and Matt Whalen (drums) to talk about their experience in reuniting the band.
