The Matches Are Back And Better Than Your Favorite Band

Six years have passed since The Matches blessed us with new music, but when the band officially reunited earlier this year fans knew it was only a matter of time until the group returned to the studio. I’m happy to say, the wait is finally over.

Earlier today, September 30, The Matches partnered with our good friends at Substream to share the world premiere of a new song titled “Life Of A Match.” The track is a big and boisterous return to form for the group, bringing to mind the material found on A Band In Hope. You can …

Atlanta-based alternative country band Quaildogs are gearing up for the release of their debut LP, The Getting Old Factory, which is due out Sept. 15. In anticipation of next week’s release, Under The Gun has the exclusive stream of a compelling track off the record — “Reunion.”

The song delivers a western swing while still holding true to a alt-country formula. It’s a song that tells a story — which you’ll have to find out about for yourself by listening — and it’s a song that really pulls people in. Everything about the track is simply good. Don’t …

Bon Iver Will Return This Summer

In the four years since Bon Iver exited the spotlight, many fans have wondered if the critically adored folk group would ever bless the world with another release. It’s a fear and worry that started when — in an interview with Australia’s Triple J radio while promoting his Volcano Choir album — group mastermind Justin Vernon said, “I don’t really write songs anymore… I really have to be in a specific headspace to even begin to illuminate an idea that would create another Bon Iver record, and I’m just not there.” You felt it, and I know I did too.…

From Autumn To Ashes Announce Summer Reunion Tour

A few months ago I was watching Atreyu play shortly after midnight in a tiny venue at SXSW when PropertyOfZack writer Jesse Richman turned to me and commented that the best parts of heavy music from 2005 were alive once more. I excitedly agreed, as I too had just witnessed Atreyu perform at the top of their game, and now I’m excited again as one of the other recently reunited great heavy bands of the last two decades has announced plans for a nationwide summer tour.

Today, May 5, From Autumn To Ashes revealed plans to embark on a summer …

Emma Bunton Hints At Possible Spice Girls Reunion

The late ’90s and early 2000s were the heyday of mega popular pop musicians like Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears and more. While we still have some popular groups around today, they aren’t quite as explosive as the artists were back then. The combination of an emerging internet and frenzied media coverage skyrocketed these groups to stardom.

One of those bands to find themselves in the limelight is the British pop outfit known as the Spice Girls. Their debut album, Spice, instantly earned the ladies celebrity status all over the world. Believe it or not, that was nearly …

Following Thrice’s lead, Canadian post-hardcore outfit Alexisonfire has announced they’ll return for a series of seven festival performances this summer after teasing an announcement last week with a cryptic #AOF2015 Instagram post.

The band has confirmed they’ll appear at Toronto’s Riot Fest, which takes place on September 19-20. Following this announcement, Riot Fest has announced they’ll have a limited number of Early Bird Presale tickets on sale beginning this Friday. Alexisonfire has also confirmed another handful of dates between additional Canadian festivals and the Reading and Leeds Festivals in England, but this announcement is perhaps most exciting (and nerve-wracking) …

Explosion Of Feels: Squid The Whale To Reunite At Bled Fest

Basically a year and a half has passed since Squid The Whale had any news whatsoever to share with fans. The last time any member engaged the public was to announce the departure of frontman Bradley Walden, who famously left the band in order to join Emarosa. Rumors quickly spread that another voice would fill in the space left by Walden’s exit, but no new vocalist was ever revealed.

Last night, the members of Squid The Whale broke their silence to announce plans for a reunion in just a few short months. For the first time since 2013, the Michigan …

It Looks Like Boys Night Out Are Making A Comeback in 2015

If you were a part of the mid-late ’00s emo/hardcore scene, then you were likely familiar with Boys Night Out. From their classic debut album Make Yourself Sick to their revered sophomore release Trainwreck, they were one of the pioneers of the post-hardcore genre at that time.

After six years of not playing together, it seems that the band may be making their anticipated return to the music world. After creating both Instagram and Twitter pages, buzz has been on the rise as to what the band may be up to. Fans are hoping for a ten-year anniversary …
